Thanks - i have photos on my phone but no bs lead to traonsprt them the to the PC..... I was fishing a short pole with 6 elastic and 4lb main line to a 2.5lb bottom - 18 hook single grain of sweetcorn fished welll up in the water. - and quite right a right ol tussle occured.

Does any one happen to know what the current british record is for a 'Crewey' - i had a hour with my lad on a small pit this morning and bagged a belter a knats hair under 4lb - By far the biggest i have ever seen

if they were born and raised and trained to fly to that loft they will in never go away. The only way would be to capture them somehow, and pass them to a fancier who would keep them confined as stock birds - otherwise they will fly straight back. The problem you have is they will soon turn feral, and start nesting in the vacinity - and then 6 could become 16 in no time at all!! Finally you could report the chap to the local flying club he may have been with who in turn will take matters up with the National Federation. As a keeper of racing pigeons for many years, you would find it very difficult to rehome semi feral racers - fanciers are so particular about breeds lines and genetics. - if you get no joy they may need to be culled.

there's always two sides to every story - i have had extremely nervous dogs before, that would cower as soon as you look at them - and nobody on this planet could acuse me of ever being cruel or harsh on my dogs. Unless you whittness the dog getting 'beat downs; then it may be prudent to keep your opinions to yourself ;-) If you do and there concerns, then you can report this to the apropriate bodies as aposed to taking matters into your owns hands and partying with substancial amounts of cash!

i simply slide a piece of ply over the openeing on a night time which is secured behind two breeze blocks - neva had a problem

eustrogen an other homone build ups will make them act stangely - You've only got to look at our better halfs once a month to show that strange things occur!!!!!!

Its been ages since i've been on here - hit a few rocky times over the last year or so which Im happy to report are now over. Anyhow, i hope all of my old friends on here are ok... and still getting out Nice to bump into you all again :blink:

often bitches kenneled together will quarrel - and rather like humans..if they have a set to, they sometimes never forget, then they're at it all the time..epsecially if there is question hanging over 'dominance'.. I have seen it first hand with a patt x and lurcher...fine for two years....thye ahd a ding dong, and because they were both headstrong, they would fight brutally at any opportunity until one had to go. Also, as we all know too well, when a bitch comes into season..the hormones go Pete Tong.....and again...quarrels can occur over seemingly nothing.

I would just feed him abit more......with work - dogs do run off more. I feed my lurchers Doctor John silver medal..but only as a base food, and usually top up with either raw rabbit or tuna... during the season I increase to two meals a day.......I just think cos its cheap..the're not getting enough out of it..but thats my personal opinion.

caught a half grown cub a few years back...............tried to feed it to the ferrets...even they wouldnt eat it....that says it all for me

started 2nd week in september. combined tally for Fereting to longnet and lurcher, and laming (no shooting)....myself and my buddy who work together 541 til last night
