  1. Simular situation to the op with someone I know, renewal sent in on time then gp  form sent out 2 week later, left at the doctors who kept it for 3 weeks then refused to complete it (they want nothing to do with firearms). He had to get a copy of his medical records and send them to a gp recommended by BASC who completed it for a fee. Looks like this is the way I will have to go when mine is due same doctors. South Yorkshire police area FLO has been good dealing with it.

I have been a Northern Soul fan since my youth, and two favourites that guaranteed a full dance floor were, Just a little misunderstanding by The Contours, and One wonderful moment by The Shakers.........happy days.

Have a look on YouTube,  Twisted soul 1964 Contours just a little misunderstanding,  Made me smile

  3. Me and the wife have just done ours with solicitors , both been married before 4 grown up kids between us.

My mother who is 90 had to go into care in last year, early onset dementia which has been a nightmare getting things sorted no power of attorney, no access to her due to pandemic then you get a jobsworth on the phone who comes out with, can your mother come into the bank if not there is nothing we can do. Its been a very stressful experience but we've managed to sort it for now.

So we also set up financial and medical LPA for the 2 daughters it was an expense but well worth it to us.

  4. After the pit closed in the 90s the slag heap was grassed over and loads of trees planted, I can remember the slopes on one side being planted in the 70s. It is now a public park and there is one area mainly tall hawthorn that magpies and pigeons roost in through the winter, well sheltered from the wind. At times I have seen 50 plus magpies just before dusk.

  5. Made one for grand daughter a couple of months ago from decking off cuts, drilled plenty more holes in the wood after picture was taken. She was over the moon with it, so was my daughter she had seen one in a garden centre half the size for 30 quid, sent me a picture of a hedgehog house on Sunday (any chance when your not busy dad).

I like the look of the pipe and netting idea, how do yo fix the netting to the 3x2 ?

Netting fixed to timber with a hammer stapler and 10 mms staples I also tacked a thin latte around the bottom, the timber is some I cleaned up and about 2x2, made a single row one with wilko netting with thin pipe and timber from a piece of decking I cut on saw bench

  7. I rent  an allotment from the parish council, the clerk is a proper jobs worth and the rules are enforced with threats of eviction once you have signed tenancy agreement. Only one 6 by 6 ft aluminium greenhouse etc. I managed to get one for free after daughter put an add on face ache for me, then couple of month later was given another so I made it into a 6x2 coldframe and kept the spare glass also made cloches from plastic pipe and scaffold debris net
