  1. hi, I just traded in my HW90 and got a new RWS bolt action PCP. The guy sold me a stirrup pump to refill it and explained how to use it, but it wont work! I have the adaptor on the end of the stirrup pump and put it in the re-fill hole on the pcp canister, tightend up the screw thingy on the pump and started pumping. nothing happens. Tried again and same result. Tried losening the screw but that didnt work so i took the adaptor out and pumped and air came through so dunno whats going rong. if anyone could tell me how to do it would really appreciate, thanks, James

  6. Hi, as many of you will know, there is an airgun selling site called www.airguns-online.co.uk which sells very cheap airguns and accessories. For example they have a 12ftlbs springer for just £35.95 or £50.95 including p&p to your local gun dealer. You can get a CO2 for as little as £95.95 but i dont think that they sell and PCP's. I want a new CO2 but havent got the money for anything recognisable (e.g. a webley, diana, HW...) so i looked at this site. For £115 inc p&p i can get a lovely new CO2 and some nice pellets to go with it, however, i just dont know if its any good. So, i pass it over to the critics, or the general public of PW members. Anyone think thier guns are any good (or bad)? Thanks alot, Rabbit assasin. P.s. if it turns out they are any good i suggest everyone has a look on thier site cos they have got loads of cheap stuff! from scopes to pellet traps to deaks and lamps.
  7. I'm gonna sound stupid now, but, how do you wring a neck properly, cos whenever i try on pigeons, the head comes off, and when mom sees every now and again i'm in da poopoo bigtime lolol
  8. I thought so, there there for a laugh really, but the skull bit one is actually a method used by a man called Fred Taylor. Heremis an extract from his book "Fred Taylor's fish and game cookbook" He has some interesting stuff, order it from your local library. so here goes "If a pheasant has been shot, injuredm caught by a dog and finally despatched by the shooter, there's for than an even chance that it will end up having it's neck wrung. Experienced keepers know how to tap a bird on the head with a stick but in my fathers day game rings were commonplace. They housed a long spike which was pushed into the brain of the bird, killing it instantly. Another way of despatching a bird, one which i invariably practice myself, (THE AUTHOR, NOT RABBIT ASSASIN) is to crack its head like a nut between my teeth. It sounds ghastly, and may appear uncivilised, but it kepps the bird whole but it keeps the bird whole and leaves a stong neck whick will carry it safely on a stringer. Birds who's necks have been broken, then placed on a stringer, neck's grow invariably longer until they resemble a vulture and almost invariably lose thier heads before the end of the day." I say, just put it in a game bag! Rabbit assasin. P.S. I AM NOT THE GUY WHO DOES THAT, I PB HEADSHOT THEM! I DO NOT BITE THIER HEADS OPEN!
  9. If you want some really cheap airguns go on www.airguns-online.co.uk they have springers, the B2 from as little as £35, £50 inc p&p to gunstore! I have no idea of the quality, so i am opening up a thread on them in the airgunners section. Thier cheapest CO2 is £95.95 for .177 or £99.95 for .22. I also suggest you speak to some sort of local policeforce, sorry, policesevice or gu club before you buy. Your gunstore should be able to give deatails on this to yo if you ask nicely. lol. Some people say that you want .22 for fur and .177 for feather, but i use both for both and haved good results. As for liscencing, i am only fourteen so my guns are in my dad's name, but as long as they are under 12ftlbs there is NO LICENSE FOR .22 OR .177 contrary to many non-shooters opinion that you need licenses for everything! Pistols on the other hand (not very useful exept for "finishing off") but are fun for plinking in the yard, have a legal limit of only 6ft lbs and are is ILLIEGAL to have in a public place without VERY good reason. If you do have it in a public place, unless you have told the police why etc... they are likely to shoot first ask q's later. (not ovverly suprising though with all the gun-hype at the moment!) As i say, these guns are cheap, but i have no idea of thier reliability or quality, so pop over to the thread in a few days to see what theyre like. Essay over, hope i helped. Rabbit assasin
  10. Hi, i was just wondering how everyone else kills and injured or winged bird. If you use something different to the above, or want to know where i got some of the methods from, please post. I use the "PB headshot". Rabbit assasin
  11. nice one, but wats with the facial hair?
  12. could you sent to UK and if so, for how much?
  13. HI, THIS IS NOT FOR SALE, JUST A FOR FEEDBACK INCASE I DID WANT TO SELL So, its a newish remmington geneesis with a 3-9x40 scope. There is a little scratching on the barrel but a little blueing would fix it i think. The scope is as new with plastic scope protector. It is running at about 11.7ftlbs at the mo but still knocks rabbits over at upto 45 yards (only tried on headshots, wouldnt know about bodyshots) It has a black synthetic stock, 2 pressure trigger, safety in the trigger gaurd and recoil suppressor pad in the butt. If you want it can come with a nice gunbag. I can do pics if you want. remember, THIS IS NOT FORSALE Rite then, here come the pics
  14. BREDON HILL!!!! HAHAHA LOL. Did he actually go? Man, the amount of times ive seen some old bangers trying to get up that one! its so funny just to cruise past in a nice jeep wrangler You'd be better of having a go at the deer, they have some nice reds and fallow up there, and theres tons of rabbits up there, but not to many pigeons, the airs probably too thin at that height to support em... Funny lol. As for liquorice, no, i like peanut butter on white toast, thats a good bait.
  15. so is it illiegal to shoot em with a rifle or just not very good practice/not humane?

    pellets

on a .22, 5.5 bb pellets fit, but have just a little bit of the end broken off. God for close range rats, squirrells and the odd mouse At anything longer than about 13m you want proper pellets, but have fired cocktail sticks with the blunt end in blu tak, to fit the barrel and also spitballs (wet paper in a ball) is fun for shooting other people (who have accepted to be shot). Oh, and a leather needle in blue tack is a nasty close range weapon!
  17. ? if you mean is the spelling mistake better, i think ye, cos it just looks kinda different, ya know?
  18. thanks 4 response guys! but i thought that somewere on BASC site it says that some kinda geese have ben added to open general.? i know, but i accidentally spelled wrong on application, so it stuck.
