It's not about how many you shoot it's about shooting the one's you enjoy. If you can shoot flightline pigeons on a windy day you can shoot anything. Get yourself a head cam JDog I would love to see you in action.

Thanks. The camera is a gopro 3 using the narrow field of view setting.

Lost 4, 2 got stuck in the top of the hedge and 2 made it to the wood on the far side.It is stubble the other side of the hedge so they were easily picked. Thanks. Full choke both barrels.

Testing pigeons today with Ralph the Jack Russell (not helping).

If it is slugs you need to get out there at night with a torch and film them on your phone.Could be the pheasants though especially if the rape is still small.

I got very lucky with this line.There was nothing really to suggest standing where I did would be a good idea.Once I got there the pigeons just appeared.

Finished with 63 pigeons and 10 jackdaws/crows.I was not on top form yesterday and missed some simple shots.I think i would of been better off putting a hide up as the maize tops were a little distracting as i was shooting.(well that's my excuse anyway).

Thanks ,picking up was a bit tricky. I managed to pick most of them.Got totally soaked as the maize leaves held quite a bit of rain.

Still waiting for harvest to start here, so went shooting under a flight line in the middle of a maize field today.Pigeons were feeding on some laid barley the other side of the hedge.

The bag was 227 pheasants and the shot count was 1417.I don't think they do days smaller than 200 unfortunately.I'm pretty sure there sold out for next season already though.

He was using 34g no4 and a few 36g no4 I hope you manage to get a day there.Just make sure you take your camera if you do.

Great stuff JDog. You can't beat a steady flight line to get under.I think you must have shot well to get as many as you did in the wind.I know my kill ratio goes down fast when the wind blows.BTW have you gone back to your favourite cartridges?
