Haha. No it won't. And this is why this wasn't a test rig. Surprisingly they didn't want it to move, nor were they trying to hit a target.

The only reason a gun recoils the way it does is because the barrel is above where you are holding it, allowing it to pivot. If the barrel is clamped solidly is won't recoil. Simple as that. The energy used in recoil under normal circumstances will in this instance be expelled through the barrel to propel the bullet. The rig you used are design to replicate use in the field no doubt.

Well, you should have bought a Land-Rover then and you'd still be going. A lot of people don't look after them. Then they complain. There's plenty used as daily drivers and do fine. Dad used his 90 everyday for over 20 years and is still holds its own as it is looked after. The 2.5TD isn't a bad lump either really. And there's still plenty of series vehicles going strong, and they don't all leak and rattle, but they should so it's not a problem.
