  1. No fire Certs any more. RRO 2005 requires a risk assessment by the 'responsible person'. Have a look at the guidance on CLG web site under fire safety. Hope this helps
  2. have a look at the leatherman skeletool, locking blade, pliers and looks cool
  3. I think it was about 1984 that they stopped putting asbestos into artex
  4. Just finished reading one of the presenters (Guy) books. He went out and lived in the wild in Alaska for 12 months. Theres a recipe for beaver (not that kind) in the back of the book !
  5. For the safety aspect have a look at HETAS (I think thats how it's spelt). They certify soild fuel burners a bit like gas safe with gas appliances, or your local building control (council) can do it
  6. I'm a building control surveyor. Drop me a pm and i'll have a chat with you if you want
  7. I'd of come but i'm tied up (not that way) this Saturday. Let me know if you need anyone in the future
  8. As above, - mine gets me to the office every day and then gets through some mud on the weekend but it's capabilities are limited off road, especially on road tyres.
  9. And the Guru with a big a beard and shades on a moto -x bike. Nice!

If you’r after a breather-able membrane, Tyvek are a big manufacturer. However there are loads of other branded membranes on the market. Just have a chat with a local builder’s merchant.
  11. I'm an atheist - thank god!
  12. Don't much about the details but the tile is called 'CENTURION' I think its manufactured by Forticrete, they state it's the only tile that can be be laid down to 10 degree. Hope thats of some use to you.
  13. There are pan tiles out there that can be laid down to 10.5 degree. The only thing that really changes is that most tiles will require a greater head lap at lower pitches. Just remember you will need building regulations and to insulate the roof to a reasonable level
  14. Tis true. He's a good bloke who has given many a newbie (me included) an chance to get out there.
