  1. Some of the comments on here, particularly from the self righteous money market experts haven’t aged particularly well, have they 😂 Mini budget…😆
  2. Thanks, my PA is looking at the options, was supposed to be a two day trip. Sat here now I’m really not fussed if I don’t make it out there this week.
  3. Dartford crossing closed this morning due to two climbers on the bridge. Put pay to my trip to the Paris Motor Show today. Absolute carnage on the roads around here.
  4. I think you are being charitable to them both. According to the Economist, Truss is a lettuce rather than puppet (7 day shelf life).
  5. The latest six in order of capture ranging low to mid 30
  6. Sorry, only just seen this. None off the surface but I’ve stalked a few close in, that’s a challenge though as it’s a very deep chalk pit that deepens very quickly from the margin. As such it’s largely been bait and wait but I’m very much in sync with the place at the moment so haven’t usually had to wait too long. I have used single bags cast to showing fish as well but on a productive night I’ve used up to 15kg of particles and several kg of boilies with the former method. As of time of writing I’m up to 14 30s from a total of 97 carp. Currently sat bank side typing this but fishing an unfamiliar spot that I’ve mixed results from in the past. Will try to get some pics up of the other 30s and perhaps some of the notable others. What is your approach typically?
  7. I was fortunate enough to watch a number of the Eubank, Benn, Collins fights from inner ringside. Sad this fight is off but it was never going to live up to the originals imho, not looking at the past with rose tinted glasses, I just don’t believe either of the current boys are anywhere near the level of their fathers.
  8. Meanwhile the early reports of 15000 ruskies ready to surrender sounds interesting, unlike most of the stuff posted on this thread lately 😆
  9. Look beyond the Brexit bit and it’s raising points about true levels of tax, forced savings, infrastructure, state owned housing and immigration. I don’t think you thought your Singapore on Thames through very well did you. Didn’t expect you to counter because we both know you can’t.
  10. Feel free to counter points in the article rather than dumb replies like that.
  11. https://www.theneweuropean.co.uk/talk-of-singapore-of-thames-economy-is-merely-a-reflection-of-brexit-ignorance/ The Tories don’t have anything to lose, they know they are out next election, if it all goes south they hand the failure to Labour and use it as a lever to return to power next time around. The likes of Odey win whatever happens because they play the market, he doesn’t care if the U.K. pension funds crash and burn. Not jealousy just hard facts.
  12. Agreed. I’ve never considered progressive tax to be particularly fair. Not done the math or searched for the figures but I wonder what a U.K. income tax flat rate would need to be to maintain the current tax revenue.
  13. There is no point, or at least little point, being personally better off if it leads to impoverished public infrastructure and services. Funding private health is one thing but nobody gets to drive anywhere useful on private roads, for example.
  14. Surely he’s on a windup, I decided not to play along.
  15. As well as using the buses as a polling station are they also used to ship Russians in from across the border to vote?
  16. No idea why you’re bringing EU and Brexit into this discussion. Your opinion that I love all things European demonstrates the imbalance of your dislike for them. Equally the same on the EU. I actually don’t recall us interacting directly on the Brexit thread, you may have been reading my posts on there but, as per usual, you’re clearly weren’t listening to them. Ironically, it was Rewulf with whom the majority of my discussions on Brexit were had with. We were poles apart but at least held each other in respect. The thing is, you and I probably actually agree on more things than we differ on e.g. the pandemic, but even on things we agree on I detest your approach to people with an alternative view. Maybe Monty was right after all…
  17. There is no point trying to debate anything with you, I learnt that a while ago and you've applied the same playbook in your "discussions" with Rewulf. I used to think you posted stuff on here just to be popular with a certain demographic on this forum and not really believe it yourself. I came to the conclusion that probably wasn't the case a while ago. Nothing to discuss. PS - I was originally replying to Rewulf, not you.
  18. From an obnoxious bystander perspective: It is indeed getting a bit creepy...
  19. Wholeheartedly agree with the last four posts. Do you have a source that supports this claim?
  20. National Treasure, huge respect for her.
  21. Not sure it qualifies but I shared bodily fluids with a former Miss World contestant.
  22. Based on some of his responses here, I am starting to doubt that to be honest. It's all gone a bit mental imho, certainly some of the posts have gone too far...
  23. I fear the worst but let's see if she actually reverses the 1.5% NI hike and comes up with a credible plan on the energy bill issues.
