  1. i know dogs are considered property and if you hit one in a car, you have to stop and notify the owner, but i had heard that cats were different in that respect. i have been a learn'ed...
  2. sorry, hope you don't mind me tagging a question on to this but i have a related question. When I live there a quite a few farms but i have no idea who owns what land. Is there some better way of knowing who owns the land than just pot luck? I would probably ask all the farmers anyway but would rather know I was talking to the right person.
  3. That's a point I've wanted clarifying for a while actually. If you shoot someone's cat, that's cruel and you should be rightly punished for animal cruelty. But, if I get a nice head shot and the cat dies instantly, is that legal? It's not really animal cruelty, because the cat knows nothing about it, so does that make it legal?
  4. So the fact that it says 'Islam is the light' is the problem with the US populace rather than 'Satan is the king'! That's just wrong...
  5. surely you should think of it like they think about the food for Africa campaigns... "Give a pensioner a pigeon and they can feed themselves for a night, give them a gun and they can feed themselves for life."
  6. can't say i see cat as being any different from any other animal we eat. i don't plan on trying it any time soon but if it was there, legal and considered tasty, i'd give it a go. my girlfriend cannot bring herself to eat pigeon or rabbit but i'm quite happy to. peruvians also eat guinea pigs but i don't see my guinea pig defence league people standing up to be counted. cats are evil anyway, they probably deserve to be eaten... Joke, seriously, it's a joke...
  7. being very generous with my thinking, especially as i dislike cats, they may have been saving it to build some big cat centre somewhere so that they don't have to put down so many of them. still, 10 mill is one mother of a cat centre...
  8. Hi all I thought I'd post and say hi. I'm new to the forum but not really new to shooting as I have used air rifles on and off for 20 years. Came back to shooting two years ago and have been slowly getting back into it. Started with targets and have progressed into taking vermin for friends in need. Not that I consider most vermin personally. I am quite happy eating pigeon and rabbit but have not quite got my head round munching on a rat as yet... Anyways, that's probably enough for now. Nice to meet you all, possibly... Justin
