This could be a “piece of string” question but I have an old lanber with a value of 200 quid. It’s given great service over the years but today the bottom barrel isn’t firing. Is this going to be an economical repair at a gunsmiths or his the lanber ready for the gun god in the sky?

just been given the chance to go goose shooting in the morning (never been before). I know my old 390 auto and chokes are steel proofed (stamped sp) and I know the choke pattern is different from lead to steel.(understand how chokes work with lead) but never shot steel. we will be using 36grm 1shot so which choke should I use? ( don't want to look like a complete numpty in the morning) thanks dennis ps tiltle should read 1 shot steel

we had a litter of cocker pups a few years ago and we are thinking about it again (alredy got 5 but they are only small) last time we used a ftc from a very reputable kennel but since our last litter the kennel club web site has this "mate check" which can tell you the inbreeding coefficient of potential matings and if we use a ftc the coeffient number is higher than using a perfectly good local stud dog (well breed) without fancy titles the kennel club are trying to reduce the inbreeding coefficient (apparently it has doubled in 10yrs) but most potential buyers prefer to buy something with recent FTC etc if you where buying a pup what would be most important toy you? i know what i think but dont want to struggle selling pups if im wrong

ive just had a call out of the blue from a keeper on an estate 40miles away, hes short of beaters for 4 grouse days and me, the mrs and our dogs have been recommened to him, got the days of work so we are sorted. what can we expect?

only look at the ones with the 3 litre engine (the 2.4 suffer head gasket problems) these trucks are getting old now so expect to pay very good money for a good one. the cheap ones on ebay will be pants
