  1. Cracking write up. Well done all.
  2. I've got a Dacia Duster 4x4 and it does the type of work which you are asking your vehicle to do, wildfowling, with dog and kit in the back. Also go fishing and travel along muddy tracks to get to the river.
  3. Sorry to hear about your wife's troubles Jonty. That is great craftmanship nice one.
  4. I'm Welsh, and no I was not particularly impressed.
  5. First full year of secondary school, it was when i found out that i was really bad at exams! Anyway of far more interest, went on my first fishing holiday to Scotland, caught my 1st salmon from the River Tywi 12lb 3ozs on a great big bunch of worms. I remember my two cousins both miners being on strike, and the family moved to a smallholding and we started part time farming.

  8. Dunlop! Mine are taking for ever to come to an end, they have outlasted Barbour, Hunter, and Jack Pyke!!
  9. Yep know the feeling jimorbett, in need of the same myself, i keep hoping my old gunslip will turn up with the chokes in the pocket!
  10. There is a very old oak tree next to my local rugby club pitch, the club is over 150 years old, we often comment as to what that tree has seen over its lifetime!
  11. Totally agree Sweet however....due to my car being off the road for most of Oct, Nov, & Dec, and January being a busy family month,😊 my trip to the marsh last Friday was my first and last of the 2023-24 season, sadly!! 😪 all being well i hope to make more trips next autumn😃
  12. Thanks guys much appreciated.
  13. End of season trip to the marsh today which ended in a blank, so time to give the guns a good clean and some tlc before storing for the summer.....the choke in my Lanber sporting upper barrel is stuck fast, and the choke in my Hatsan Escort is as well!!! (Blo*dy typical 2 of my guns!) So before i head to a gunsmith does anybody have any advice of what I can try first?? Many Thanks. Aled
  14. I'm a bit younger than you guys, but i can relate to what you are saying. Lost the passion for sea trout night fishing. There are so few of them around these days and i feel those still returning perhaps need to be left in peace to spawn. I hope you enjoy your sporting endeavours for many years to come. Cheers. Aled
  15. Thanks Munzy, much appreciated. We've booked an apartment in San Antonio bay its 15 minutes away from brothers place, plan to hire some bikes or scooters to visit where he's based.
  16. Dad is 80 and my brother is 50 a few days apart so a family gathering in Ibiza (not the party area!) this summer for us. As others have mentioned we have several good places to visit on our doorstep, so days out to Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion & Powys also on the cards.

    Dignitas

Can i say some very honest and heart tearing posts on here. Offering my sympathies and condolences to those of you who have or are suffering hardships. Comments based on personal experiences have highlighted both sides of the argument well, and understandably should make us all think hard about where we stand on this, and which route we should follow. As is often the case there can be no one size fits all, and maybe that is what the issue is, there are some many grey areas! Cheers. Aled

I worked as a care assistant in a home for the elderly when i was a student in the early 90's, there were quite a few there who would have chosen the DNR route, or the withdrawal of treatment had the option been available for them in those days. Things have changed since then. It is time the right to die to be an option in this country with suitable safeguards in place.
