  1. Johnathon Davies (ex GB rugby league and Wales) on his Welsh language programme "Johnathon" has just shocked me " i ennill fory yr Eidal" (to win tomorrow Italy). Blimey...... Aled
  2. Yes i think England will win as well, Wales probably (notice i've not said definately), and Ireland v France, too close to call. Hedd Wyn is right though we got some good rugby to watch this weekend. Cheers Aled
  3. Ok guys there rumours going up and down the Welsh Sea Trout Valleys, and in certain corners of rugby mad London, and on one or two Forums that Italy might do it tomorrow..... They are rumours, anybody else heard em? Tight Lines Aled

  7. Well Wales selection made. Back Line looks good, the front row will be fine, however how will our line out function?? If we can get good ball the back line is usefull and i reckon we can do some damage! However its in Ireland, they are up for revenge, and have an exceptional line out, and other than the in the front row (which is a marginal weakness!), there do not appear to be any weakness in the Ireland team. Heart says Wales head says Ireland, but a close match. Also i believe the expectations in Wales are a little too high! Scotland v England close call, Scotland by a couple of penalty kicks! France by a comfortable margin. Cheers Aled ps Whoever secures victories on Saturday, will be set up for a very good 6 Nations.
  8. Nice shooting there. Well we had our rough shoot on Saturday and had a great day out with lovely winter sunshine. Of woodcock we saw 15, we usually see around 30 +. Forum member Steffan bagged all three which included a left and right. Snipe were more numerous than they have been for years, saw around 20, we bagged 3 which was enough between us. Saw a few pigeons and 1 pheasant, but unable to get a shot off. My other friend Rob bagged a rabbit. We also had a squirrell and a magpie. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and enough happened to keep us interested. A special thanks to Ben and Taff the two spaniels who were a pleasure to see work. Tight Lines Aled

    Operation

Good luck Alanl50. I had a shoulder operation in 1995, it was a success and i was able to play rugby until 2008, (i had 2 years off between 01-03 due to a snapped achilles which was also operated on!) The technology for body reconstruction is improving all the time so after having two reconstructive operations in my life, both of which enabled me to return to playing rugby, and to live an active life, i would suggest considering an opeartion. For me it worked out OK, short term loss for long term gain. Tight Lines Aled

  22. The only spinner i've caught salmon on with any consistency is an Anglia Longue size 3 mepp bronze cast up and accross #and brought back in an arc. Like the Toby idea Kent, reminds me of how some of the old boys would spin with a Devon Minnow or Toby on the Tywi, using the early style of multiplier reel. Tight Lines Aled
