  1. Hi lee tried to send you a pm but it says you can not receive any moor PMs. can you send me a message about your pigeon shooting please ATB Colin
  2. I think you should not take my question as asking for an exact number. it was for a ruff estimate of what to expect. as I have said in my earlier post I have been shooting for a long time and did not think I had to explain that I know that pigeons are wild and you can not say if you are going to shoot any. But there must be a ruff estimate of what can be expected. Ie on a bad day from 0 to 20 good day form 30 to 50 or a bumper day xxx but then again im a bit rusty on the shot gun and I can take that in to account. or if they can not give figures then I would expect to see a good few. ie be put in to a good spot on the flight line where pigeons have been observed over the last couple of days. this I would expect for a paid day. ( now whether they decoy or not is another matter) so john does not have to control the birds with his mind now does he.
  3. why what kind of bags can you expect this time of year? I have not done any for quit some time colin

  7. Hi Yes m8 I did. I went down to Thomas jacks and looked through all of them. (Recon that is) And I brought this one. And it was quite a bit more expensive than the rest ATB Colin
  8. Hi I have decided to sell my spotter. (as above ) This unit is brand new and has not been used as I had to send it back to Thomas jacks for a replacement as the camera mount thread was damaged on my old unit. so they replaced it with a new unit. I think you all know this is by far a lot better unit than the cheaper Recons that pulsar sell this is why I brought this one. I have had this for about six months and have been lucky enough to be sorted out with another set up so this one has to go. I'm not putting the specs up as they are all over the net I'm looking for £550 posted ATB Colin
  9. The Pulsar Recon X550 digital night vision monocular is a compact and lightweight digital NV scope which is designed for hunting, security purposes and wildlife viewing at long ranges. Pulsar Recon X series nightvision features a greater range of view (up to 500meters) than the Recon models due to a more sensitive CCD array and advanced program technology employed in this model - Sum Light The Recon X 550 features •Contrast Gain Function: The user can choose preferable LCD display. •Sum Light signal processing function. •Brightness Adjustment wheel: Adjusts optimum brightness of screens glow for each specific case. •Built in High Power Stealth IR Illuminator: For usage at insufficient levels of natural illumination (such as starlight) for improvement of observation quality •Indication: Recon features LED indicators performing two functions. The green light indicates power on, and when you turn on the IR, the LED changes colour to Red but displays in a moderate intensity which does not illuminate the observer. Crucial for security applications. •Eyepiece: The device is outfitted with a new five lens eyepiece that minmizes distortion on the edges of the field of view and increases sharpness, definition and contrast. The soft rubber eyecup conceals the light emission from the tube thus permitting the user to stay unnoticed. •Power Supply: The Recon is a fully self contained device operating on four universally available AA batteries. • Video Input/Output: The Recon is equipped with a socket for connection of external video recording sources or TV set which facilitates long-time stationary viewing, as well as video playback sources. Switching from VIDEO IN mode to VIDEO OUT is performed by pressing a button located next to the socket. Specification • Magnification: 5X • Lens Diameter: 50mm • Viewing range: 5-500 Meters • Resolution Lines per mm: 40 • Operating Time (without/with IR) 12/9 Hours • Operating Temp: -10 to +45 Deg C • Dimensions: 176x83x62mm This has only been used 2 times and is like new. it is only a month old I am selling it for £600 posted ATB col48
  10. dont let other pepole stroke your dog. i know it sounds harsh but i want my dog to come back to me not go for a fuss with someone else. they all so dont wonder off as much if you dont let others fuss them. just my take on it colin
  11. springer / cocker both get 2 small pork pies and a couple of sausage roles each they dont half work for this though. ATB Colin
  12. Hi I try to do a lot of light cover and get the dog a lot of finds and thick cover has never been an ishu as they know the score with the success they have had in light cover. a lot of the problems people have with dogs is down to them pushing there dogs to quick. if i offered you a small reward for a lot of work and sometimes no reward for a lot of work how long would you be working for me. dogs are just the same give them very very easy thing to do and lots of success and success will bread success get them really keen on very light cover and slowly make it harder and harder cover with lots of finds you can put a training dummy in thick cover just to get him /her used to success when you have sent them in to thick cover and nothing was in there. a bingo they trust you and get a nice retrieve to boot. ATB Colin
  13. just to clear things up im not ripping anyone off If you dont want them or think they are to expensive then dont buy them or make an offer for them. then you will not feel riped off. As for the key board numptys I have done a lot of good cheap work for a lot of people on this and other forums, jobs that would have cost 3 times as much and would not have been done to as high a standard as mine where. never have i been accused of ripping someone off and do you really think this is the place to do so? no wounder people dont post on this and other forums with this kind of response. and if you care to read my 1st post you will find they are not my cases as i have not shot a 22.250 for years, just thought someone could benefit from them, or make an offer for them and help 2 people ATB Colin
