I was looking to get it rebarreled, (22inch down from 26)flueted, the action blueprinted, new jewel trigger, screwcutfor mod. Cheers for input guys. Any other suggestions of whos's good. Just so i've got a few options.

Has anyone heard of border barrels? Any good?

its a vssf2 in .223! swaro 6-18 x 50 scope swaro binos and nikon range finder t8AR, I was going to go for the standard t8 but did'nt want to make the rifle any hevier!Because of the length of the barrel it quitens down nicely!

and again!this is really trying to naff me off! Got it!but obviously not the right size!

I use 55grain normas at £11 a box.There the most acurate through mine. But remember each rifle is different despite weather or not it is the same make and model. by loads of different weights and makes and just try them all out. be sure to weight a few minutes between each group of shots(3 normally)to let the barrel cool off!

Can't quite make out the rifle you've got there!is it a remmy vssf?If so has it been cut down?

The foam cover will also provent the moderator from making that horrible tinny noise it makes when a blade of grass taps it! You'd be suprised as to how far that noise actually goes!

Good shooting m8!i got the same rifle!find it great. Obviously you are to! I use 55grain normas through mine!which do you use and what groups are you getting? whats the furthest you feel comfortable shooting with the vssf? My bro managed to get a rabbit at 285yards the other day!I reccon its capable of a bit further!

finally found the bullet that suits my remmy vssf2.1'' groups a 200 yards.I zero'd it at 1'' high at 100 yards and the groups were so good that i thought i'd try 200. went out on tuesday night in dorset and the place was crawling with foxes.At one point we had 7 different foxes coming in to the squick from all directions .managed to get three of those and 2 others.5 shots 5 kills.furthest shot was 196yards with bushnell range finder.got picks on the old mobile but have no idea how to upload them! great night out
