  1. Clarkes of Walsham charge £15 for delivery within 55 miles of their base, three of us make up an order and have them dropped off to one address, a fiver each for delivery of a couple of thousand very good value.

Stock and prices are available on their website, RC, Express, Eley, Fiocchi, Gamebore Hull and Jocker, they carry a massive range both clay and Game.

We dressed much the same in destroyers. All very different now I guess.

I came out in 1983 after 9 years, agree very different now. The PC thing, Wrens becoming RN and going to sea, I doubt that we would recognise life on board now.

  3. A different world Dunks, small ships. Pirate rig unless you were in Base, steaming boots and overalls in machinery spaces, shorts and flip flops everywhere else.

Only 32 crew so very relaxed compared to big ships, good times.

I then went back to sea again on the gas supply boats until we were in a storm force nine and I vowed if I got back in one piece my seafaring days would come to a end , and so they did .

You would have liked Ton class 'sweepers then, they could roll on their beam ends on a damp lawn......

    We are around Miami area.

If you're around Miami head for Lock And Load, just about anything you fancy a pop with including Barrett .50 cal.                                             Well worth a visit, UK driving licence accepted as proof of Id.

  7. Be interesting to see if you find the same with Yellow Jackets that I did, rifle is the same CZ452 and zeroed at 70 yds with Winchester X 42 grain subs.

When trying some Yellow Jackets they grouped well enough but an inch and a half low and an inch left of centre, two strings of five shots the same.

CCI subs, 40 grain, shot pretty much the same as the Winchesters.

    Atb Steve.
