Like I said on your post on the BBS you've shown poor judgement involving violence and weapons twice. This isn't really conducive to owning firearms. Personally from my point of view even though your not barred from applying I wouldn't be happy knowing that someone who has adapted a weapon and had a violance conviction owned guns. I also think its bad for the future of our sport as what happens when the media find out just makes a mockery of the licensing.

I would have thought that with modern steels and powders you will struggle to ever shoot out a 223 barrel. Certainly if your mainly using it for Charlie as the barrel wont be getting the shot strings that you do from range work.

There's numerous reviews and threads on this over on the bbs everyone seems to rave about them

I bought a 6.5x55 Tikka T3 it's LOVELY! way better balisticly than the 308.

I bought my cabinet as a 5 gun i think. its a g&c one and my feo put me down as been able to put 9 in it. I will buy a 2 gun break down soon though.

Hence why I'm after a second hand take off stock. I cannot justify spending £600+ on a stock. I need an adjustable cheek piece and a take off T3 Tactical stock seems the best way to do it.

Nick I can assure you that most dealers are not like the one you mention! I personally think its irresponsible. Would I be reporting him I'm not sure but it's definatly irresponsible

What about the link to a criminal element? I'm sure his dealer would be interested in knowing he has guns!
