They are not the hard left they are the Looney Left. Not bad people probably just painfully deluded. They see the world through rose tinted glasses. They actually believe that if you treat people with fairness and respect they will return the complement by behaving with fairness and respect themselves I wish I shared their view but unfortunately I don't. Everything I see suggests that fairness and respect just gets interpreted as weakness to be exploited shamelessly.

Starmer and others are projecting the protesting as "just" mindless Far Right thugs. The implication being they don't deserve to have to have their reasons for protesting taken seriously. I would say to Starmer read the signs and take them seriously. Just trying to slag the protestors off by name calling and threatening them is not going make them go away. Talking tough is not fooling anyone when everyone knows you are weak Hiding behind the police is not going to stop them for long either. The Police have done a great job, brave men and women, but they are going to be too stretched to hold the line if it really kicks off. Besides, it's not fair on the police to be used in that way

Yes but apart from that every is spiffing

There were many things you could buy to make them more accurate by customising them but on the original military issue models everything was loose. The barrel was loose, the slide was loose, the trigger was heavy. They were designed that way, they were a battle field side arm issued originally for use in the mud of the first world war or the deserts of the Mexican Border. Later models made for the civilian market were better but still required working on a lot. Also they generated a lot of copy cat look a likes by other manufacturers. Some of which were quite good

Thanks

I think they were intended primarily for darts About as accurate as a Colt 1911 .45ACP

4 or 5 litres is OK, the air shooters at the club I go to have full diver bottles (15L?) Topping up is easy there is a dive shop just up the road

Well, the Labour Party for one. Having largely lost the support of their traditional core voters the working class they now depend more on the immigrant vote and the votes of people who depend on benefits to live

That is clay pigeon shooting I'm afraid. Clearly it was a hit, I saw the tv re-run Why the referees didn't have the equivalent of VAR that could be used. That's the real question. We have often picked up clays with a single pellet hole and heard a clay hit but not break. It's not a precise sport.

S410 or similar. BSA Ultra etc

How much for a small dive bottle and how many shots should you expect to get ( roughly) from a filling? I intend to buy one from the dive shop where I will be getting refills but wanted some idea whether his price is reasonably competitive and whether it will hold enough air for my need. I don't want a full size bottle because it's too bulky to lug around

The reason is because the hospitals have no accounts departments to process the charges or even identify who needs to be charged. The better system would be to identify at point of entry who is eligible and who is not. Then directing those who are not eligible away to the private sector.

Yes and they seem to need to be used regularly The seals don't like being left standing idle for long periods of time.

That might not be the case where Steve lives. He lives in South Wales, when I lived near him ten or so years ago there were lots of patchy holes in the phone reception as you went around. Where my sister in law lives in Cornwall there is no phone reception at all for about a mile in either direction.

Winter Fuel Payments were introduced by Gordon Brown in 1997 as part of his many 'bribes' to keep the electorate on the side of New Labour. He also introduced Working Tax credits

Anyone who has more money than Clangerman by the look of it

We have recently done the same. We virtually never used the landline anymore and the only calls we got were junk calls I can't remember the exact figure but saved ourselves something like £12-14 a month

Bus pass is paid for by Council not central Government. But its a veiled subsidy to the bus companies to help keep them running services during the day
-
Absolutely right ^^^ We all knew this was coming, the "Ah I know what we said, but that was then and this is now" moment

Yvette Cooper says Labour are going to clear the asylum backlog And we all know how they are going to achieve that don't we?)

Or a fear of reprisals. They would have been effectively prosecuting their future boss. Not the best career move

I don't see why it was left to the police The inland revenue are perfectly capable of having investigated it themselves. They clearly didn't want to go after a politician that might well end up in charge of them a couple of years down the line. Civil Servants are inherently lazy, anything that stops them sitting at their desk drinking coffee and doing the crossword is to be avoided if possible

I believe that when the police said they were "not pursuing the matter" it was because it was more than seven years ago and seven years is the normal statute of limitations for tax matters. That's why you have to keep your tax records for seven years. The truth is the police were looking for a way out because they were going to be piggy in the middle if they took her to court. Remember Starmer had already come out and said she was not guilty before the investigation had even got underway. That is impartiality for you! But she was not cleared or exonerated as she and her supporters like to claim. The police were intimidated. Which ever way it went they were going to get a kicking

You have to pay a lot more money to go up to the next level where the glass is concerned Hawke scopes are the benchmark and perfectly adequate for what you want them to do.
