Its a carry all day and shoot very occasionally type of rifle. Its toys for the boys. .45-70 is still popular in America because the re-enactors have and use the calibre Full power its still not enough to reliably stop a bear, nothing much is to be honest. But its great value is that it can be down loaded to pistol velocities for comfortable plinking.

The G 7 big meet , But why Cornwall ????
Vince Green replied to oldypigeonpopper's topic in Off Topic
Its not just France that has a problem with pensions though, many EU countries have a demographic time bomb looming. France spends 14% of its budget on pensions and its rising, Macron specifically promised to sort it out even though everyone said that would be impossible. -

They did take to the streets a year ago and he backed down, then blaming covid but with his re-election looming he now has to balance the books, which was his big election pledge, or admit failure. Thats not possible in French politics. He was the one who promised reform, fools rush in where wise men fear to tread -

They have to remember that Ireland is totally dependant financially on trade with the UK. The EU is happy to damage Ireland a lot more than it is damaging the UK just out of spite. Hopefully Macron and Merkel will be gone soon. Anyway Macron has bigger problems looming at home over pensions. Keep an eye on that one -
It was, like Harry Stanley and Marc Duggan the Met police seem to have gone into any orgy of mis information following cock up shootings of innocent individuals

Thats not true Initial contact "Frank" only identified him as "a possible, check him out" subsequent radio transmissions changed that to "target" At the bus stop police said he was not the target and bore no resemblace he did not ever have any contact with police, he swiped through on his travel card subsequent reports that he ran and jumped the barrier were prove to be lies from the police suddenly all CCTV from the station were said to be not working, something the railway staff have always denied. Said the police took it and never gave it back. He was followed to the train and was already under restraint on the floor when he shot eleven times. Witnesses later said no warnings were given, he was already on the floor with his arms pinned, there were five shots, then a long pause and six other shots. Passengers were sprayed with blood. But the key thing is he was on the floor The Met police refused to take part in the police complaints commission investigation into the shooting providing no witnesses or statements. Cressida **** gave the order to kill him

Voluntary cartridge retention procedure….

The reverse is also true though (just for balance) a barrel that is rifled by a button takes on the scratches and imperfections of that button. And a button will do ten to twenty barrels. So twenty barrels are like clones of the first. case of a US Deputy identified as having fired a fatal stray shot in an accidental death was able to prove that several of his police collegues could also have fired the shot because the test shots from their service revolvers were also too close to call. Their dept had bought something like 40 revolvers as a batch. The case in law in the US now rests on the scratches that relate to the button not necessarily the barrel uniquely. Now imagine a small rural town in Nebraska. The gunsmith buys a job lot of S&W 686s and sells them to the town. Then somebody gets shot, Half the town could be convicted on the basis of barrel scratches. It has to be balanced with other evidence -

Mike Yeadon has got a lot to answer for James O'Brian is a Shock Jock, he makes a career out of being endlessly negative. He is very good at making people look silly but he's actually akin to Jeremy Kyle in the way he puts people down -

I was told a long time ago by a senior police officer that stolen guns almost never resurface in this country. They are virtually always exported and Cyprus seems to be a favoured destination. The reason being that its the only way they can get the true market value for them -
After 30 years in prison the reality is he can't be released. He will be chased by the press as well as people wanting to kill him everywhere he goes. He is never going to get a job and keep himself so he is always going to be a burden on the rest of us.

There is probably (at least) the same number of deer and moose in America and Canada as there are cows. All vegetarian animals produce methane so why pick on cows? Or is this a subversive attempt to undermine the industry rather than concern about the environment?

One of the really nasty so called practical jokes (actually more like harassment) yobs did was to lever back the rubber window seals on their victim's car and sqiurt milk into the door or footwell Or they would pour it into the heater air intake under the windscreen

What would be a typical charge for excess milage on a lease car these days?

If you don't put fully synthetic oil in a turbo car you will wreck the turbo. The turbo runs too hot for non synthetic oils and they carbonised inside the turbo and block the oil ways. The OP picture looks remarkably like wrong oil has been put in the engine

Its more about anti social behaviour and street crime in parts of London that is the problem. Nothing wrong with the scooters, more about the people that use them for the wrong reasons.
-
The trouble with the scooters is they have replaced the mopeds and pedal bikes as the favoured transport for the bag and phone snatchers
-
Some of the big ones will do over 30mph There is hardly a day goes by I don't see one being ridden on the road in London

Blimey! they are all over the place here EScooters | Dorset Police

Honda CRV has very good seats Don't touch Peugeot Partner, the seats sag after a few years .Till in the end you have your bum on the floor. The trouble with replacement seats is its an expensive lottery. You buy then you try Like I said before, go to Honda, test drive a CRV it will cost you nothing for a test drive. I bought one last year from our local main agent, three years old, 11,000 on the clock £15,950. ex Motorbility its like a new car, they had six to choose from. Its been faultless. And Honda aftersales has been really good, bought the OH a Honda Jazz too For many years I drove Mercedes but now I have discovered Honda I am a convert . My back is "difficult" going back to rugby and motorcycle injuries years ago.

Never initiate anything that may develop into a problem with your neighbours. Look away, walk away and bite your tongue. Observe, take photos but never say anything. Horrific feuds can start from nothing and you only have to watch programmes like neighbours from hell to see what is possible

Look a lot like the Zenith binoculars I inherited from my dad
