Things would have been just as difficult for us if we had not left the EU, in fact progressively more difficult as the noose tightened. Cummings may have overplayed his hand since but he got us out of the EU. If he had stopped there he could have been a national hero

Its like a divorce in so many ways

We are still a nett importer of both fish and meat. Not by a small amount either. The situation is not being helped by the French being difficult but its not as bleak as it may appear.

I really don't know why we have to faff about with all these cabinets. When my friend died and we couldn't find where he had hidden his keys, we asked the FEO. He said you just have to put a big screw driver in the right place and you can ping out the locks. Its ever so easy apparently. Excuse Me, am l missing something here?????? fortunately we found the keys in the end

Cummings was only ever the hired help, a skivy (although admittedly an influential skivy). That's his problem I suspect, deep seated resentment that he was never elevated to the status he thought he deserved

This is why I am still using a British Seagull. Outboards are the worlds most expensive nightmares to fix. If I had my time over again I would be an outboard engineer and practice sucking my teeth while shrugging my shoulders and shaking my head at the same time. A friend of mine bought a canal boat, it had an outboard as a back up. An oldish suzuki but she thought she should get it serviced because the main engine was a 50 year old BMC 1.5 diesel and you never know. She was quoted £2400 by some outfit at Teddington to service it so you can guess her answer was two words, second word was off. They wanted to charge her for inspecting it so she never ever even got it back.

Like you I gave up on apple phones a couple of years ago and now have two Samsung Galaxys. 5G doesn't offer me anything I am likely to ever need. certainly not in Cornwall Buy outright seems to be the perceived wisdom these days

I know people who think nothing of paying a few hundred quid for a round of golf Personally I would rather pay more and queue less

To me it all sounded like Cummings saying (subliminally) over and over again "I'm cleverer than they are" and people who know him have been talking about his self obsession with his own intellect What rankled him at the end of the day was he wasn't the Cabinet Minister, he was just the hired help and after all this his next public appearance is likely to be behind the counter in McDonalds or even worse, I'm a Celebrity.........................

Sheep farming was down the pan five years ago, due to a collapse in the demand for wool as we import far more meat than we export in this country the balance should still be in the farmers favour

Oh get a life for heaven sake. "have you considered?" no I haven't, why would you? You really need to get out more

Frankly its not a good time to sell a gun at the moment, nothing is moving irrespective of price

Thats just your view. I think he is doing a good job

Boris has managed to sidestep every political banana skin thats ever been used to try and bring him down. I doubt Cummings will fare any better. Thats why Cummings is a fool to try Tilting at windmills
-
Where is Cummings going to go after this. What can the future possibly hold for him? He is trying to damage Boris and we all know why He may succeed (a bit) but the damage to himself will be far greater and longer lasting Downing street last year to sweeping the street next year? We are watching the man commit suicide

Believe me I am not ignorant of PVS, my first wife suffered for years and still does thirty years on. They called it ME and yuppie flu, dismissing it as "all in the mind". We were divorced before she got it but it has been a struggle for her ever since and she is still easily tired by routine day to day things even now. Her whole life these thirty odd years has been dominated by her illness and nobody really gives a FFFFF but it didn't leave scar tissue in the lungs and heart or reduced kidney and liver function like this one appears to do, even in kids under ten..
-
But not completely? the evidence of residual harm is still growing but its not yet clear about the extent of the hidden damage. So lets not be so so dismissive about the problem until the data is in? Which could be years from now. It might be really serious for lots of people in years to come, or it might not but the thought of kids with scarred lungs and damaged hearts who never had any symptoms at the time is a real concern

Like I said before, every idiot is an expert after the event

Sean Ivey ... Ex-Marine stands up to yobs and is burned out of home
Vince Green replied to gdadphil's topic in Off Topic
Years ago the police would have settled the matter by the "more than one way to skin a cat" method of policing. And the signal it sent out was who was in really in charge. You may win today but next week we will be knocking on your door with some dodgy VCRs we are going to find under your bed. All the yobs on the estate knew what had happened and were suitably intimidated, not wanting to be next. -
I agree, what are they going to do? press rewind and have a re-run? Every idiot is an expert, after the event

Have The Price Of Puppies Reached The Peak ?
Vince Green replied to marsh man's topic in Dogs and Dog Training
We are aware of some puppies being offered for sale in Cornwall at ridiculous prices. All unregistered, its the latest cottage industry round her. Many are being sold up country. You can only get £40-50 (and you have to transport it and pay commission) for a lamb but you get £1500 for a pup. Do the maths. -
There are a lot of shotguns on there really cheap specially sxs, its a sign of the times.
