    Pump

Has anyone got a cheap air rifle pump? Either close to Swindon or prepared to post Cheers in advance
  2. I'm convinced that this is true. Back to Christmas presents We've spent about 100 ish on our son as to be honest much more then this would put us in debt

    Pumps

I was wondering if the cheaper pumps were any good? Thinking about buying one to take out with me just as a top up rather then a complete fill, I know you can buy expensive ones but they are the same price as a smaller bottle.
  4. I've tried a few Bull pups and the just don't feel right to me, plus a lot of em a quite weighty. I like the look of an r10 but they weight more or less the same as a hatsan, same as the scorpion they both weigh 3.1kg and the hatsan weighs 3.2 I'll see if I can get hold of a compatto and shoulder it a few times as it's only slightly heavier then the ultra se but nearly double the shot count and only about a hundred or so quid extra I'm not too fussed on the shot count as I can always throw a bottle/pump in the car and top up as required
  5. Voted, all the best hopefully they'll win

    New gun

In the new year I'm going to be treating myself to a new gun as I'm finding the hatsan at44 a bit heavy, I'm stuck between a bsa ultra se and a brocock contour super 6, I've only shouldered the ultra so far and I was quite impressed with it, felt nice and light and quite pointable. I've heard great things about the brocock but not got hands on one yet. I was wondering what people's opinions are or even if I've missed any out, critera is light weight and multishot
  7. Just got back from meeting the landowner and all went well whilst thanking him I asked was it the bloke or his wife who talked to him and it turned out it was the wife, but got a bit of a backstory though, on the original bit of land apparently they got sued massively by a disabled person who was using their riding school. Apparently ever since he's been funny about any disabled person, I can understand why but it still sucks. But no point crying over spilt milk I've still got somewhere to shoot, seen a lot of warrens and damage on our walkabout today with loads of fresh poo near them so hoping to get out next week and start making a dent
  8. Cheers guys, it's really helped to alleviate the sucky feeling I had. I've also confirmed with the guy that he was aware I had a disability as I didn't want a repeat but he was cool with it, i still think I'm going to be door knocking so I don't have to rely on the one permission. Going to celebrate with a curry and a bottle of sloe gin tonight
  9. Well went and picked up the stuff and the land owner said a neighbour was wanting to speak to me, so popped across and apparently the neighbour was disgusted that I got kicked off and gave me permission to shoot there! Result, it's not as big, 40 acres but it's a good start, go to go up tomorrow with insurance and a permission form and we'll have a walk of the boundary
  10. I'm pretty sure I told him when I got the permission but obviously I didn't, the reason I put this up was asking if any other people have had this issue before. I've met a few disabled people who shoot but they have more obvious disabilities and one guy from Somerset who has MS (which as a condition is much more impactful and unpredictable then mine) I have sent an email asking if they've had any legal issues or liability issues and if they any special paperwork in place that could absolve liability
  11. No that's fine, I keep my air rifles in a cabinet as I have a young lad. But my condition isn't a notifiable disease for driving and insurance purpose so im hoping it's not going to affect a SGC
  12. The police are aware of my medical condition but I only shoot air rifles at the moment, the only reason the police are aware is ive just applied for my sgc,
  13. I have a problem with my nervous system, they (the hospital) don't know what it is exactly and they stopped investigating a few years a go, im on top of it and I haven't been caught unaware by a flare up in about 3 years now. The wife asked as we was being seen by the same specialist (pain clinic) when asked i told her just that, the farmer said due to the nature of my disability he couldn't allow me to shoot on his land anymore. I personally feel that it's either a liability issue if I get injured on his land, despite the worse injury I had in all the time I've been shooting there was from welding up a set of gates for him. Or he simply doesn't understand my type of disability and how it affects me shooting, if I feel a flare up creeping on the gun stays in the cabinet and i stay at home
  14. I don't think I was booted out so he could lease the rights as hes repeatedly said he'd never lease them again after a syndicate screwed him. As I've said I don't feel any ill will towards him, it's his land his choice I'm just a bit gutted, I think the main problem for me is when I got the land I stopped knocking
  15. It took me 3 years to find this one, I was lucky as he had 4 -eople o there but he hadn't seen anyone in 18 months, he would ring them all and they would say they would come and just never turned up, I happened to knock after the rabbits had trashed his school
