  1. Go to www.totalywicked.co.uk Been off fags for a year now. :-))
  2. Freight costs have a lot to do with recent price increases also. Plus carriers charge a premium to carry hazardous good , as they line to call them, I'm guessing in the past these charges weren't quite so heavy. But I have to agree, In realty compared to inflation , they are cheeper than they used to be.
  3. some may have been trap guns , so stock lowered, chokes reamed and generally re balanced. Some have a slightly higher rib, which personaly i like as it takes your head slightly away from the action.
  4. Ive got a brand new 308 sako sitting in the shop, and a brand new swarovski sitting on the office shelf.. :o Rung up local firearm friday and was told 12 weeks.
  5. I have for sale a nearly new set of Steiner Ranger Pro Binocualrs ( 10 x 42 ) They have a slight mark on the coating of the eye piece lense, doesnt affect the image at all. Otherwise they are mint. With the dust cover , but sadly no case. I was bought a pair of Swarovski binos after i purchased these. Looking for £200.00 plus £7.00 postage. Thanks for looking. Nik.
  6. I would say that if it measures anywhere near 12 mm then yes it will be 1/2 unf , the next size thread is 14 mm i think....
  7. Hi. If you measure the outside diameter of the threaded area that, will give you the size. Then measure between the peeks of the thread, will tell you the pitch. ie.... 14 x 1 mm..... Cheers. Nik...
  8. To be fair... I have a third eye mod on my 243 with a 1/2 inch thread...that could obviously go on my hummer... Dont know how quiet it would be tho.....
  9. Theres a howa ( RWS mod 89) in Diamond shooting services, East Sussex 01435 863295. It comes with ASE Mod, 6x scope and is pillar and galss bedded. £630 would get it i should think. Prob only fired about 300 rounds.
  10. Obviously got a discount on your education as well, judging by the fact i found it really hard to understand what you had written in the first place.

    Sako 85

I have the stainless synthetic 85.. Worked up some home loads....and it will put 3 shots touching all day , every day, if i do my bit.. Thats 90 grains BT noslers... 3-12 x 50 Zeiss Duralyt.... Perfect combo in my mind..
  12. Alex . Which other forum? Would-be quite interesting to read that too. ;-)
  13. I quite fancy that ... Think il be there.......
  14. I'm in east Sussex, and have one in my draw doing nothing at the moment, But I'm guessing ur too far away.
  15. There is a guy on here that is connected with them , I think. Stevienicknaks is his handle. Hope that helps.
  16. A..... I found the clip i was looking for on our very own site.. 21 minutes and 24 seconds.... http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/168147-inside-the-secretive-zeiss-sports-optics-factory/
  17. Apperantely that is a complete falasie.... The objective lens is what makes the differance. The only advantage to 30 mm over 25 mm is that there is more adjustment range.. I think i read this on the leopold site or maybe schmit and bender...Any way thats what they say.. And i can believe it having looked through quite a few at dusk..
  18. If you tell me the serial No , i could probably find out which shop etc, it went to first and which batch it came from. There are still some selective trigger kits in the shop i think. If it hasnt got one already.
  19. I probably , personally quality controlled this gun for Diamond guns, back in the 80s. Good solid workhorse. Made by The Silma factory in the same town as Beretta and all the others. 600 is probably a fair price for a really good one. If I remember right that were £350 new, back then. Parts are still available from Diamond shooting services in Sussex.
  20. Im using H414 for 70 grain BT nosler -- 80 grain BT nosler and 90 grain BT nosler(Deer Bullets) Im getting half inch groups at 100 yds and 1 inch groups at 200 yds with all of them. So wont be changing any time soon.
  21. Interestingly , my last rifle, which was a Howa, with the same length barrel and the same twist. I worked up loads for both and every bullet i have used has ended up about half a garin away from max loads using H414 and the data taken from Lee loading manual. I have my bullets seated 20 thou away from the land, but im going to experiment with that soon, when i get the time.
  22. Sako 85 stainless synthetis, not that that makes a differance. I use 90 grain nosler ballistic tips ( they are made heavier in the case to use on deer, so not a varmint bullet) im pushing those with 43 grains of H414 with Lapua brass. Im using 80 grain varmint nosler BT and pusing those with 44.5 grains of H414. Both have pretty much same POA at 100 yds.
