I went trough it for both my daughters. Had cold feet both times , for my speech and generally for the outcome. Let me tell you, I thurelly enjoyed it , and I am glad I went trough it. So will you.

My feelings exactly. I have met with friends etc that I have,nt seen for twenty years or more. There is an inicial excitement to start with, and after that a rather embaracing spell as one feels that they are two strangers really, since so much has happened to their life that the other person does not know about.

Milo,I had no intention of misleading any one when I posted , I only said what I knew to be true as I myself live in a block of flats which belongs to my famlly, and we have left the metal reinforcements sticking out in case we can add one more floor when and if we get planning permittion. That has not stoped us PAYING ANY PROPERTY TAXES or any other taxes concerning the above block of flats. Now as far as evasion of taxes in general , and as far as that being a national sport for Greeks as quite a few people on earlier posts have suggested , I feel is only half the story.Not all Greeks have the means or the inclination to not pay their taxes. It happens, and I would be the first to admit it, but I know why it happens. People have lost their trust in the wrong people and wrong governments we were unfortunate or rather unwise to elect in the last twenty years or so, who have used public money for their own benefit. I,m afraid you were misinformed . The reason the metal concrete reinforcements were sticking out of the top is that they may decide at some point to add another floor on top, and they need them so they will be attached to the new metal reinforcements. Taxes will be paid whether the property has metal reinforcements sticking out or not! I would not be so eager to accuse a whole nation for tax evasion , just because...... somebody said.

I hope people driving by you, or standing on the street don,t need them!

Great news for both of you. I know how you must have been feeling all this time as my brother has had an operation for the big C only a couple of weeks ago and we will be going through hell till hopefully we,ll have some good news. I don,t know whether you can get in England or not, I ,ve been using a rubbing cream that goes under the trading name of VOLTAREN, with very good results.

I can use a computer , but know very little as far as solving any problems. I have an Apple IPad which of late when trying to vew anything on You Tube , all I get is the sound but nothing on the screen. If any one can help I would be obliged. Please use lay mans language as I am rather thick with anything Electronic.!! Thank you.

I remember mine, was seven, my brother two years older,walked with me, end tried to convince me I would love it. So I went, was rather indiferent, just thinking it was all a waste of time. Next morning when I was woken up by my mother, I protested wanting to stay in bed,but she would not let me, saying you must get up to go to school. But I went yesterday,I replied.!!!
