  1. well i finally got up my permision today about 530pm thought i would chrono my rifle 11.6/ 11.7 with defiants .so more than enough . i then had a quick check to see if i was on zero ,yes spot on at 35yards . so every thing just how it should be time to hunt , i stalked down by some silos on the farm to the small cops and the orchard . it was now very cloudy with spots of rain i could see the odd pigeon flying of , i stalked down through the trees nothing so i edged my way round the ege of the orchard very very slowly under some low trees when i had a feeling to look up , so i slowly look up and there about 5 feet up 2 pigeons as soon as they see my eyes there of gone .. i look into the orchard from under the trees and thought this is a perfect spot , im out of the light under the trees behind a tree with a nice fork to rest my rifle and a nice branch horizontal to rest on . so there iam waiting . in the orchard theres about 4-5 trees,, small compared to some but its for the farm house and its bin here years any way ive been waiting about 45 mins now when 2 doves land and start to eat at the feeder for the ducks and geese , now im not allowed to shoot the doves on my shoot + side is there live decoys i wait another 5 mins when a nice big fat wood pigeon lands i position my self on the tree he still has not seen me i wait ,wait for the shot he lifts his head i fire down he goes nice clean head shot , i reload as slowly and as silent as i can . hard with the s10 but the wind is blowing trees are rustling , i scan the orchard there in the long grass theres a rabbit hes stood up looking to see whats just happened i line up the cross hairs on his head hes about 30 yards i wait as theres just to much grass , and the ducks are blocking my shot . finally he moves into open ground i take the shot down he goes and kicks twice , as he does i see a young one running into the hedges . i reload and wait , the clouds have now opened up and its pooring down i slide the s10 into its bag . i wait another 30 mins or so out pop 2 young ones i wait for them to come further out all the time watching them through my scope . they decide to have a play then eat then play some more ,one moves behind a tree so i line up on his mate aim for his head fire down he goes , i reload as fast as i can , just as i slide the bolt forward out jumps the other one from behind the tree i aim he runs then stops he knows i aim fire down he goes , i get up and fetch them. unload my mag then of to the car its now pooring down again and looks like its not going to stop .. heres the spots i shot heres my pickings heres my pigeon cooked with garlic cus cus . first time ive tryed pigeon like this ,,, i loved it very very nice
  2. after another bad day i arrived at the cricket club just before dark , i settled in waited about 30mins then stalked round the club house not a sign of mr wabbit i noticed that there had been a party there sat night + they had moved a load of soil that was in the way plus housed a warren , so i bet they were lying low , any way i made my way down the side of the pitch on my belly between the cricket signs and the hedge , i moved between one to take a look and there at about 50yards was a famly of rabbits they were nearly on the good stuff , i moved even closer on my belly i got within 35yards , and was now breathing like a good one i rested a moment to catch my breath . i moved out from the sign looked through my scope there was 5 rabbits 3 young ones and 2 adults the female was very close to her young but the male was on his own i moved to get a better sight on him but he was off he stopped just past his young ones so i took aim on the female i steaded my breathing aimed just to the right of here eye , fired . bowled her over not even a twitch the rest ran for it . thats it called it a night
  3. when I sat in side it I thought the windows were ok. in size. I layed down it gave me even more few of the trees. if positioned in the right place facing a roost. I think. 20 30 yards away. it will be fine. perfect for decoy pigeons and shooting rabbits. or if you have a nice big bore rifle. foxes. deer. if you want one for using with a shot gun I'd prob spend more and buy a hub type one. there alot more dolla. but they have roof window for shooting incoming birds I will let ever one no how I get on.

  5. have you checked your silencer it might be getting cliped by pellets . take it off then try again . refit silencer try again. I suspect that's what it is . I remember Reading about an oring on a BSA silencer that needs taking of where silencer joins barrel.
  6. I sent my superten to jb. for blueprint and he said mine liked defiants . large. most BSA .22 barrels do. he said not all the 177 BSA barrels like them . I've not notice much diff in windy conditions. as for power at the target I found them really good. they fly so fast. as for exterminators I tryed them. but my rifle didn't like them. I've found it likes defiants. long range golds. jsb.
  7. well thats out the window the manufacturer has gone lol so ive now gone here http://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/products....ee+Pop+Up+Hides looks good + is cheap

  11. I snipe. for. iPhone. « on: Today at 02:42:12 am » Quote Modify Remove Split Topic well I was looking on the iPhone app store when I typed in shoot. found this nice programme called I snipe. it's like chair gun. http://iSnipe.WebDiligence.ca/ but costs loads less at £3.49p. has really good reports. so I'm going to buy it and give it a go. if it really is as good as they say . I will have it with me where ever I go. I emailed the guy that makes it here's what he said. Hi Steve, Thanks for you email and interest in iSnipe. iSnipe does indeed work with air rifles; the snag that a lot of people get caught on is obtaining real-world B.C's and muzzle velocities for their ammo/weapon, as many shooting ranges don't have a Chronograph. That being said, if you have a chrono you should be able to get reliable numbers for your setup which in turn will help iSnipe spit out reliable numbers for you I found these excellent resources containing ballistic coefficients for many Pellet manufacturers: http://www.photosbykev.com/wordpress/userf.../pelletdata.htm http://www.photosbykev.com/wordpress/2009/...ellet-database/ Those two links combined with a few minutes on a chronograph will make sure iSnipe is giving you the best possible numbers for your setup. If you have any further questions or possible feature requests don't hesitate to contact me directly. Best Regards, Mat Pridham iSnipe.WebDiligence.ca
