Worrying thing is that the country will probably end up being run by people like those ***** that were protesting. I do worry what it may be like for my kids in years to come . Too many limp lefties getting too much air time.

Me and my other half were caught in all the traffic jams caused by all the protesters on our way too Hyde Park . Got talking to a cabbie next to us in the traffic and he was fuming about it his words were it’s just a bunch of waster pricks with nothing better to do . And all they were doing was costing every day working people and the country tens of thousands of pounds . The best thing they could do is shut up and **** off. Couldn’t agree with him more.

Been seeing them dropping into wheat fields the last couple of weeks. Not laid wheat either they just land on it let their weight take it down so they can eat it. Me and my mate shot 84 in a couple of hours a few years ago on standing wheat. We just put the magnet out and nothing else it was easy shooting as nearly all of them were shot fluttering or more or less hovering over or very near the magnet so it was easy to pick them up. Another field I shot a good amount on that was quite short but pretty dense the pigeons had managed to make little areas to sit and feed on like they do peas.

I have no problem with shooting magpies and crows , but what get me are people that bang on about the damage they do to wildlife and how bad they are but they own cats that in my eyes are even worse.

Hello, was wondering if anyone on here knows of a good charter boat that can usually find a decent bit of fishing , a skipper that will try to put you on a good spot and not just anchor up anywhere and go to sleep. Mersea / Walton if possible. Many thanks for any replies.

Had a farmer a few years ago spun a load of wheat on a field, that was good shooting. First time I had seen that done in a long long time.

Mentalmac, I understand what your saying about slowing down but they were barely doing 15mph.

I had an incident with 4 cyclists a while ago, well one of them. I was on my way shooting going down a single track road I got stuck behind this group for a fair distance even though there was plenty of places they could of let me past and they weren't in a hurry doing about 15mph, when the road widened I went past (safely I might add)but as I went past the one in front the ***** gave me a ****** sign and what really bought the red mist down was the filth bag gobbed on my passenger window. So as I got in front of him I slammed my brakes on which nearly put him in the back of my truck. I got out and said what was that for and he reckons I was pressuring them? All the tine I was behind them I was about 10 meters behind them. Anyway after somechoice words he wiped it off. To be honest if I didn't have my gun in my truck and having a sgc stopped him from getting a swift punch in the mouth. Before any cyclists start saying I was out of order slamming my brakes on , how would feel if I gobbed on you as I drove past. 80% of cyclists are ignorant and arrogant in my opinion. The 20% that are decent seem to be the ones who don't take it too seriously.

Me and my mate have a permission that grows peas but we have to stop shooting when they start to grow pods because he reckons that the shot can get stuck in a the pod or pea in the pod, and if that happened and shot was found he could have the lot sent back. Other permissions we have that grow peas we can shoot right through till harvest.

If your using a pond liner you could level it out around the edge of the pond and compact it down giving you a bit more depth without having to dig more out. Do it about a meter wide out from the edge of the pond then gently slope it down to the original garden level. Save you getting rid of it.

Your lucky then if you have plenty of peas left on top after drilling. When they do the drilling on the farms I shoot there is hardly anything on top peas or beans even around the headlands. If the pigeons do get on it they are gone in one or two days at the most. As for shooting times I have been setting up about midday or later.

Must of been a couple of years ago now 2 people were out looking for pigeons pulled motor up got out apparently left motor don't know how far they went but when they got back the motor had gone a defender I believe, and their guns and kit were all in it. It was all recovered they had their sgc's taken but I think they got them back or at least one of them definitely did.
