Do you mean the HW66 is within my budget or not, I'm looking at a used rifle

I'm looking at buying a 17HMR but I'm just not sure what to go for, I have a budget of about £650 for rifle, scope and mod. In 22LR I had a Sako finnfire Varmint which was great and wish I'd never sold it, the trigger was very nice. I then had a CZ452 in 22LR but found that terrible on the trigger very clunky and apparently it had the trigger kit fitted🤷‍♂️ Thinking of a tikka TX1 or a weihrauch HW66J What would you buy and why with my budget

If I ask for more than what they may allow me will that hinder the application or slow it down in any way

When applying for a 17HMR ticket how many rounds of ammo do you recommend to put down on the application

Am I correct in reading that Greylag geese can be shot legally in England using the General Licence GL42 from September 1st to January 31st

What scope would you recommend for a 17HMR that wont break the bank I do have a 3-9 x 50 Tasco on my pcp air rifle would this be suitable then put a cheaper one on the PCP

I could but trouble is I'm not sure how long that will be as i am selling 2 properties and combining the money into one to buy a new house

The industrial estate is behind, the direction of shot is very safe as its open fields for miles, i am not stupid enough to shoot towards an unsafe, area. Correct

I know this has been asked before but I'm really not sure which way to go. One of my farmers has a serious problem with canada geese, and has asked if I can get rid of some of them. I'm re applying for my FAC after 12 months of not shooting but had my ticket for 15 years prior to this The geese will be shot at about 50-70yds away one issue is there is an industrial estate behind where i will be shooting about 150yds away. My question is would i be better with a. 22LR with subs rather than a 17HMR as I pressume this will be noisy but I have never shot a 17HMR, i have owned 2 rimfire 22LR in the past. What would you use. We have tried for 12 months to deter these geese but to no avail so a cull is the only way and if I dont do it the farmer will get someone else to do it. Thanks

Cant sell and buy again as you have to surrender your ticket if you dont have a gun on your fac then i will have to re apply Looks like local gun shop is my best bet

My house is going on the market this week and at this time we do not have a property to go to if it sells. We are possibly going to live in our motorhome for a few months so we are in a betrer position as cash buyers once ours sells. My question is where will i keep my rifle, it could be upto 6 months in my motorhome. Would my local gun shop store it for me or could i put it in a friends cabinet with his shotguns. Has anyone on here had this issue and what did you do. Thanks

I am stuck at the minute regards putting my application in for my FAC ticket due to my doctors surgery, they are telling me it will be a MINIMUM of 26 weeks to fill the form out for me, has anyone got any recommendations, can I pay a private company/doctor to fill it in quicker for me as I feel 26 weeks MINIMUM is an absolute joke Many Thanks

Hi All I gave up my firearms ticket a couple of years ago but kept my shotgun ticket. I had my firearms for 15 years and had an open ticket. I would now like to re apply for my firearms ticket and wondered if you think i would be granted another open ticket or be restricted to the named farms on my application. Have any of you been in this position and what happened do they take into account any previous certificates held. I never had any issues during the time of me having my ticket and surrendered it due to lack of use. Thanks Shawn
