  1. One juvenile female surprised at close range with my FAC Super 10, around the pheasant pens. Must practice those five yard shots! (not my stalking skills, just didn't see it until it moved up a tree!) 3013
  2. Nice work @bruno22rf I keep wondering whether I should try different pellets, but the squirrels keep dropping to head or chest shots with the good old AA DF, and if it ain't broke...
  3. I also enjoy using AA DF in my Bowkett-tuned BSA Super10 at a similar power level.
  4. Two in the woods with my new Parkemy .410 double. 😊👌 2961
  5. One with the Gamo GX40 air-rifle in the pheasant pen... ran up a tree when I approached, and thought it was invisible on a side-branch. Heart & lung shot was very humane. 2946
  6. https://bid.mendipauctionrooms.co.uk/auctions/8310/srmen10198?categoryCode=AAM a few shooting related bits here and some guns.
  7. I've enjoyed taking some photos with my 4K burst mode camera, takes 30 frames per second and you can choose the ones you want from the sequence. These show shot stringing fairly well, I think.
  8. That's nice. May I ask how did you get it into your hands, from Holts please? Absolute classic, lucky chap. Enjoy it!
  9. Anyone within 45 mins of Bristol looking to sell a non-cut-down double barrelled .410 for up to £200 or so ? Must have clean bores, 14" stock length, at least 2.5" chambers... preferably not an Investarm. I'd consider a gun with cut down stock if the offcut is available. I have a Webley & Scott bolt action which I enjoy shooting but would like to have a SBS (or an OU at a pinch!) Thanks
  10. One young-ish male with the .410 this morning, I stood quietly under cover and it came down a tree and started barking at me from under 10 yards away. Eliminating the stupid ones from the gene pool is perhaps not the best tactic, but I am not one to pass up an opportunity. 2791
  11. I am not aware that there is one. Some cabinets can accommodate more than the number of foam slots. Why do you ask? My FEO observed the number of guns in my cabinet without any problem at all whatever the nominal capacity of the same.
  12. I don't suppose you venture up towards Bristol ever?
  13. Well done staying calm. Having a loaded 5.56 in the chops must have been rather scary.
  14. @Mice! Great shooting and write up 👍
  15. Bought from them from time to time, would do so again.
  16. A pellet through the engine room leads to a quick demise for the squirrel, certainly.
  17. Two youngsters yesterday during a mooch about with the .410. They scuttled a few feet up two trees & the second one was unwise enough to hang around whilst I reloaded the Webley & Scott. 2034
  18. @Walker570 located this, thanks ! Just the ticket.
  19. I have searched but to little avail... please share your tips & designs for making a squirrel feeder. I think I've done all I can with stalking/sitting & waiting in likely spots, it's time to get a feeder going.
  20. Beautiful work @alan123shooting thanks for sharing!
