  1. Right so! no its just the bitch looks like my boy he is 8yrs and still hunting like a train. I am finding it hard to get anything decent compared to him. Might try a cocker next although he is still outhunting dogs half his age but that cant last forever.
  2. That's a lovely bitch you have, I was watching some of your videos. What lines are in her and what age is she if you don't mind me asking?
  3. Nice Benelli, I have a woodcock 2o bore, I find it a little light and flippy this season although have shot well previously. How do you find the 12 bore? Also what is the sxs? Great shooting by the way
  4. The Irish Water Spaniel are known as a bit of a clown. They are incredibly amusing and as a retriever are second to none. Some can be narky to strangers. I have had one that would set on pheasants, the one I have now is flushing. They are not a patch on a good springer or cocker unlessd trained how to flush as it doesn't come naturally. They are not afraid of cover. They are a fantastic peg or water dog. Very smart dog, very loyal. I don't think i could ever imagine life without one. The only problem is that when excited they can drool excessively from the mouth but that can be sorted with a quick rub of a cloth, it wont happen when they are used to a situation. They look amazing and never shed. Good guard dogs as well.
  5. Ran the falkens on a pajero, on my second set, I reckon they are a bargain tbh. Not as good as the wranglers I had on once but good enough for me to put on a new set yesterday. A fraction more noise on road but very little in it.
  6. Mk2 golf diesel 478k. Running like a bird.
  7. If she is in heat it can happen or if she has been done for Kennel cough they can lose there nose for at least 6 months.
  8. I wouldn't worry too much what they think mate about 25 inch guns. I know a car that is very difficult to drive for 90% of people and not comfortable, so can we conclude it's useless. Yes we can. By the way it's any Ferrari from the last 30 years!
  9. Thanks for getting back to me, just looked up that 'lick granuloma' and had never heard of it till now. Strange one alrite. Are you finding that the woodcock have moved to drier ground with all the rain? I am having a bumper year on woodock here in mayo, have put up 97 woodock this year between 2 dogs and I haven't been out in 2 weeks.
  10. Why 4? There is 250,000 resident woodcock in the the British isles, with the migrants this will grow to 1 million. They are not as rare as people thought, new research has highlighted that.
  11. Great shooting, what age is Lass now? Molly looks like she is mad for cover with her leg cut and all.
  12. I have an auto terios and my average is 30mpg and I drive at a steady 50mph. I have had a 1998 Jimny and a 94 vitara, for comfort and space the terios is the best and it is very reliable. If you are doing a 100 or less miles a week then it will not break the bank on fuel. They don't have the same ground clearance as the Jimny but are still very good off road, I would never go back to the Jimny now and I do take it it to very bad spots but I have all terrain tyres. I couldn't stick the Jimny as I was doing 300 miles a week and it was a bone shaker, they are very good though. The terios would be better for you based on what you have said.
  13. was looking down the dog and c you from ireland what part do you live in
