  1. I`m knew to hunting but want to get as involved as possiable. I`ve seen how you have skinned a rabbit and everything. But I`d like to know and sorry mate if this sounds dumb but what about removing the guts and stuff of the rabbit ? Do ya just slit it open and pull the lot out or is there more to it then that ? Please explain Jimmy
  2. Cheers mate - you both seem to know your stuff. Any other questions that I need an answer to I`ll ask you. Bye
  3. Very good 1 M8. Fat ol cow !!
  4. I have`nt really experimented with many different types of pellets yet - I`ve tried Eley wasps,Milbro Jet and Milbro Caledonian. The scope I`m using is a Nikko Strirling {gold crown} 3-9x44 Can you tell I`m new to this game !! Cheers
  5. Dave would you only go out shooting Rabbits @ night then ? The problem I have is on the farm where I shoot accross they may not like me going onto their fields at night ! I`ve been looking up info on shooting Rabbits and I belive the better covered up you are the more chance you have of shooting a Rabbit !! I`ve bought a Nikko Stirling scope 3 - 9x44 that should be ok for going hunting with should`nt it ? Would you recommend having the main spring replaced with a Gas Ram system to inprove accurracy ? Cheers :o
  6. Cheers mate I`ll try it - I hope to be going hunting over the next few days for Rabbits. Hopefully I should bag some. Problem is the little blighters seem to hear or see me from miles off. I`ll post any good results Jimmywidge :o
  7. oddbob Cheers for the advise - Generally I`m very pleased with the BSA Supersport .22 and it seems to give a hard shot. I`ve taken down two Squirrels just outside my garden in the woodland the other side of the fence. I`d like to replace the main spring with the Gas ram strut {ie the .22 version}because I`ve heard it improves the accuracy and removes the recoil when fired - Have you found this to be the case ?? Also I`m having problems trying to 'Zero' up the rifle to 30 - 35 yard range. Is there an easier way of doing this without having to take pot shots @ a tin can from the required distance ajusting the distance unitll its down ?? :o Any help would be of use Jimmywidge
  8. I`ve only within the last couple of weeks bought a BSA Supersport .22 rifle and though I`m pleased with it wonder if its worth getting the Gas Ram system fitted to it to help with the recoil the rifle gives when fired. Also by replacing the main spring with a .77 Gas strut and putting this into my .22 this would increase the power of the rifle ! Right :o If I put a more ' beefy' main spring into the rifle or the .77 Gas strut instead, this would make the recoil worse ? Would`nt it ?? Would both these methods damage the rifle and scope over time ?? Or should I just replace the main spring with a .22 Gas ram system thus improving the recoil and the accuracy of the rifle - and be done with it ?? Any info would be of help Cheers Jimmywidge
