  1. some and some I believe, depends if you get lucky. there are members on here who have them and have no problems. they used to have a reputation of double discharging. the only person I know who actually owns one bought it new last year, and has had double discharge trouble with it, sent it back and it came back over adjusted and wouldn't always fire the second barrel. personally wouldn't buy one.
  2. had a composite one for a while, quite liked it. with the adjustable comb I had mine shooting flat, but had to see no rib to get it there.
  3. the choke doesn't alter the range the shot will go. they do alter the pattern density at range. as above you need to pattern with your gun and cartridges at the ranges you intend to shoot and see what it's giving you.
  4. knife set arrived safely, and quickly. many thanks.
  5. possible depends if the gun was multi choke from new, or aftermarket multi choke by teague.
  6. have a nice one, bought it around 5 years ago. paid £350 for it then. used to see a few around then, not so many up for sale lately. good fun as a novelty/talking piece, not particularly practical to use though. they're pretty heavy, and short in the stock for a shotgun. mine's 3 shot, with welded magazine, but doesn't work particularly well with more than 1 cartridge. the magazine spring pushes the cartridges tight to the underside of the bolt and it tends to scrape/gouge the cartridges in the magazine when operating the bolt. works best as single shot loaded.
  7. knife set please. will pm you.
  8. the internal chokes aren't Teague, they're original brileys.
  9. over saturday morning shooting the cpsa clubman there.
  10. mine was pretty baked on when I cleaned it, I used a round file to loosen the crud in the baffle side holes. mine is second hand and came with the gun, not sure how many rounds it's had through it but had quite a build up inside. still works fine.
  11. F.A.Anderson at East Grinstead have a moderated 391 for sale, or they did last week anyway.
  12. it will mean that in the case of this particular gun it will shoot higher for you than your current gun. it can be a bit deceptive as some guns have a rib which tapers down towards the muzzle. ie a sx3 semi auto or browning cynergy. my blaser has a rib which is pretty much parallel to the barrel, haven't used one but pretty sure a mk38 is similar. deciding if it's a negative or not is down to personal preference, and you may have to learn to adjust your sight picture to suit. a pattern plate will be the only real way to tell what the actual difference is to you.
  13. personally would stick to the same for both as I like to have the same 'sight picture'. although saying that I normally shoot a 32" o/u and get on ok when I pick up my 26" pump. you may find the 32 a bit long for rough shooting, more of a clay barrel length. but that's down to personal preference, and to some degree your height.
  14. sussex clubman has had the same thing in the past, certain grounds appear to just use it to get more punters through the door on their normal shoot day. pretty rubbish when it happens, I personally wont be shooting the clubman at these grounds next year.
  15. it depends on the vehicle tax class. if its taxed as lgv, the lgv speed limits apply. my defender is lgv tax, therefore subject to lgv limits. my mate used to have a transporter as a company van, along with other who worked for the same company, and some were lgv and some plg tax class, seemed to be a it pot luck.

i would have bought another for that money, great guns, mine's a keeper. didn't realise there were any new around, thought they'd been discontinued a couple of years ago. i'm sure that you're aware that if you do buy a secondhand one it needs to have been in for the upgrades and come with the 10 year beretta warranty. mine's ultra reliable, never had a problem with it, but my mate has one that's awful with normally 3 or 4 bolt jams on a 50 round shoot. he's been onto beretta and been told that if it goes into them they'll ship it back to italy, and turnaround is 6-9 months i recall. good luck with your quest.
  17. had one, never used it, sold it and bought a light modified choke which sits in its place now. they're pretty long, look very well made though. didn't pattern mine so no idea how they actually work in the real world. not much help, but at least you know someone's read your thread and bothered to reply.
  18. don't think you'll have any joy if you're not the first owner. my Winchester had to go in for repair, and that was the first thing they asked when I phoned them up. I must say the warranty service was top class though, they arranged collection from my local rfd and delivery back, around 10 days total turn round and didn't cost me a penny.
  19. mine are covered on household insurance, including whilst out being used. did have to itemise the ones worth over £2000 individually as stated above, anything below is automatically covered. as with all house insurance you need to make sure that you aren't underinsured, so need to adjust the contents cover to suit.
  20. have you tried different cartridges ? I've not had any problems with mine, but a mate has a couple that struggle to eject fired cartridges sometimes, always take a small screwdriver out with mine just in case.
  21. seals arrived today, many thanks.
  22. yes please if they're still around. will pm you
