  1. Hi, I'm looking for a Savage Arms .17hmr in left hand if anyone is looking to sell? Ideally, the laminate / stainless thumbhole variety. Either full setup or rifle only. Must be v. good condition, and located in south west / midlands for face to face deal. I know there are more CZ 452's around in L/H, but I'm really after the Savage Arms. Cash waiting and empty slot on license pending the right rifle. Thanks
  2. Hi Will send PM as well, but would your friend consider an RFD transfer ?
  3. Well I went to the local game fair this weekend, and tried a few guns for fit. Although a straight stock was better than a lot of the right hand ones I've been using, only the true Left Hand gun went immediately to the correct position. I can now see why it is best to avoid that small adjustment each time which I would have for a straight stock. As for budget, I generally find that the price of many guns will increase in line with the known funds available. All I will say is that I expect to pay over £700. How much over £700 depends on the model / age / condition.
  4. Good question. As someone new to shooting, the honest answer is that I don't know. After a lesson, I was told I really needed a left hand gun. That said, I usually borrow R/H guns and borrowing a L/H didn't improve my scores much. There definately seems to be two separate opinions: 1. A R/H gun that has the cast adjusted will not be as good, and won't have much resale value. or 2. A R/H gun that has been fitted to me will actually be a better fit than an off the peg L/H gun. There's a game fair in Somerset this weekend, so I am planning on going and getting the feel for as many guns as I can. That way I hope to find out what fits me. Taking the credit card might be dangerous though! Thanks
  5. When I was carrying out my own hunt for a Silver Pigeon, I saw one on York Guns for £1295 Might be worth a look.
  6. Thanks, Just had a look on their site, and they have either already sold it, or their list is out of date. They do have a Silver Pigeon 3, but at £1295 it's out of my reach and doesn't mention left or right handed I'll keep scouring the for sale sections. Cheers.
  7. Hi, I am looking for a good condition sporting 12G O/U shotgun. I would ideally like a Beretta, either a Silver pigeon or 686 E or 687, but would also consider a Browning or Miroku. I am looking for 30inch Multi-choke barrels, with (idealy) a left handed stock. I'm located just north of Bristol, but willing to travel for the right gun, or arrange for RFD transfer. Please let me know if you have an unwanted / unused gun that you think comes close to this description. Cash waiting for the right gun. Thanks.
  8. Hi, I am looking for a good condition sporting 12G O/U shotgun that will last me for a few years. I would ideally like a Beretta, either a Silver pigeon or 686 E or 687, but would also consider a Browning or Miroku. I am looking for 30inch Multi-choke barrels, with a left handed or straight stock. I've just had the verbal okay from the local FEO regarding my SGC , so should be able to complete the deal in about 2 weeks time. I'm located in the South West but willing to travel for the right gun, or arrange for RFD transfer. I'm also in London regularly, so could do the deal there quite easily. Please PM me if you are looking to sell something that fits this description. Cheers.
