  1. More assumptions. I'm as calm and happy as it's possible to be. I'm merely expressing my observations as I see them. Some are just too blind to look anywhere else except where they want to look, or where they have been brainwashed to look all their lives.
  2. Have a look at your own posts without your rose tinted glasses on, then get back to me about garbage content. Your posts are made up of arrogant opinions. If it doesn't sit right with you, it mustn't be right. What a terrible way to be. I pity you to be perfectly honest. You'll never get the most out of life if you keep going the way you're going. Back on topic, it's the tail wagging the dog in government at the minute. The tories obviously don't hold the dup in high esteem. They tried to cut a deal without them. Where's the respect? If the tories had their way, they would have absolutely nothing to do with the dup. The anti-Irish rhetoric has gone beyond a joke. So much so that the dup would rather shaft everybody in the country before they would agree to anything that was brought to the table by the Irish government. They want like for like comparison with the uk, but only when it suits them. These people should not be propping up a government. It's unbelievable that such backwards hate filled bigots can have a say in the future of these Islands.
  3. I'd love to say time will tell, but there isn't enough of it to properly negotiate all aspects of brexit before it happens. Why people put so much blind faith in brexit bemuses me. We're all in for a hard time in the coming years.
  4. Yet more arrogance. Thanks for proving my point once more. It's never ending. Ingrained so deep that anybody with an alternative viewpoint to a british man must be wrong. This elitist attitude has no place in the 21st century. It belongs in the dark ages with the dup. You have strong opinions Gordon R, but your inability to view things from a perspective other than that forged of your own emotional and illogical reactions discredits you, and only serves to detract moreso from the distant possibility of someone perceiving you as a fine and amicable character.
  5. The arrogance of the british has shown itself quite clearly in recent days. Europe will have zero obligation to the uk after brexit. Europe will continue to prosper and grow, whilst we will be left fighting for the scraps of international trade deals. The british have no manufacturing worth talking about anymore. They sell people skills. Call centre staff and administrative personnel etc. India provides them cheaper. The idea that Ireland is a small player in the equation is nonsense. When you deal with Ireland, you deal with Europe. If you're happy to pay a considerable increase in postage, income tax, fuel duty, food tax etc then by all means carry on. Your quality of life will deteriorate and your expendable income will fall. It's the clearest example of national self harm that I've witnessed in years, and unionists support it because of blind arrogance. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.
  6. The dup are complaining that they don't want the North of Ireland to be treated any differently from any other part of the uk, whether constitutionally or financially. Yet they are happy to receive additional financial handouts from the government when other parts of the uk aren't getting them? Strike 1 for hypocrisy. The dup are also the only reason as to why we don't have a devolved government over here. They don't wish to follow the rest of the united kingdoms stance on equality. They'd rather their gay constituents didn't have any human rights at all. What happened to not wanting to be any different than any other uk region? Strike 2 for hypocrisy. Just the tip of the iceberg.
  7. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4970738/amp/Mandarin-oversaw-pension-age-rise-retires-61.html The hypocrisy is unbelievable
  8. Nobody in the boxing world has any guts in other words. Would love to see someone pluck up some courage and offer McGregor out for a real fight. McGregor would wipe the floor with them. I must admit that I'm disappointed that you don't feel in any way supportive of your fellow countryman. He made us all proud, regardless of the outcome.
  9. I see some on this thread are quick to shun McGregor, even his own fellow countrymen, but you have to admire him for trying. I'd like to see those who speak negatively of him step into his shoes for a day. McGregor has stepped into the boxing world, but I don't see anybody from the boxing world volunteering to step into McGregors domain. I suppose some were just born into environments of hatred and ignorance, and will never know the pleasures of experiencing anything other than those feelings.
  10. I too would do it for free, but make sure you have insurance. Some shooting insurance providers don't cover paid shooting. It could open more doors for you as well.
  11. Only if you are doubtful about an engines service history. Engine flushing additives can cause leaks by removing sludge build up from around crank seals etc.
  12. Try Autodoc. They're a German based company, but including postage they are still cheaper than buying locally. If you want no nonsense top quality brakes, it's hard to beat ATE as a brand.
  13. If changing the injector for the same classification of injector doesn't fix the 'injector' problem, then the next logical step is to investigate the injector signals using an oscilloscope. This will determine whether or not there is an ECU or wiring issue. I've seen it time and time again where cars are deemed unfixable because the owner or garage doesnt know how to properly diagnose a fault. Everything I suggested in my previous post is quick and simple to do, but you really need a mechanic who knows what they're doing. It's worth mentioning that diagnostics don't tell you the fault. They are a starting point. Properly trained diag techs use their knowledge and skills to interpret and test components in order to find the fault.
  14. Removal of diesel injectors and testing on the vehicle is something that's almost impossible to do. The high pressure pipes are made of metal, and are normally located directly above the injector. It would be extremely difficult and daft to attempt to bend these pipes into such a position where the injector could be reconnected to view its spray pattern. What you need to do is get the vehicle connected to a suitable diagnostic interface that's able to view live data. You need to verify that the fuel rail pressure during cranking is above the manufacturers specification for the vehicle to start. I personally only ever use easystart or similar as a diagnostic last resort. It can bend conrods and cause engine damage in no time, though moreso on petrol engines. When was the fuel filter last changed? When was the air filter not changed? What's the vehicle mileage? I wouldn't rule out a compression test either, or even a bad earth cable or starter motor. The fuel and air systems will need further investigation. If you take it to a garage with the proper diagnostic equipment (who know how to use it), you'll be in better hands than you are by asking on a forum. Faulty coolant temperature sensors can also prevent some engines from starting, but ideally you need the fault codes read.
  15. The Somme has a lot to offer. There are plenty of places to visit during the day if the weather is good, and no shortage of good museums should the weather be unfavourable. Having visited the Somme and Flanders on many occasions, my preference would be the Somme.
  16. The IRA were the only barrier between the hard working nationalist/republican people living in the North of Ireland and the oppressive, terrorising antics of the british/state forces. The IRA wouldn't have done what they did, in fact probably wouldn't even have existed if the british weren't so arrogant to think that they could occupy our land without reprisal. Open your eyes people. The british are the reason why the IRA existed. Any attacks were ultimately brought on by the actions of the british state. It's that simple. And you expect to oppress and terrorise the Irish and get away with it? Then the Irish fight back and WE'RE the ********? How does that work? As for the daft comment above about joining an Irish forum, I'm not the only Irishman on this forum. Are you supporting the discrimination of Irish members on this forum? Do you think all Irish PW members should leave?
  17. Some very bitter people on here, and some posts borderline ludicrous. The continuation of this thread will only serve to alienate certain members.
  18. If this is going to turn into a Martin McGuinness bashing thread, it would be best just closing it now.
  19. Tell them to swivel. How do you know that the fault code relating to the lights wasn't number one on the list? Any why are they looking at powertrain faults as well as body control module faults? Your issue is with the lights, not the exhaust or parking sensors. If the car is under warranty, they should fix it at their expense. Had it out with a Vauxhall dealer last year who were refusing to change a flywheel under warranty, until I pointed out that their full dealer service history wasn't worth the paper it was stamped on. All filters were original after 30,000 miles. I know because I marked them when the car was bought new. Don't back down. Keep at them and make a fuss, even if it involves making a scene in their showroom.
  20. I wasn't complaining. Merely stating a fact. I see your fellow uk citizens aren't very sympathetic with your bigoted viewpoints
  21. So the act of security/state forces shooting civilians doesn't fall under the description of terrorism? Are you saying they weren't terrorists when undertaking these activities?
  22. Hey Ordnance, with the stance that you're taking in this thread, would you admit then that the soldiers who killed innocent civilians on bloody sunday should be subjected to the full extent of the law? Would you also admit that the state funded and supported hit squads (military reaction force to name but one) who murdered and maimed innocent civilians should also be held individually accountable? I'm interested in your response here. Lets not play tit for tat though. We all know about ira atrocities, so don't remind us all of them. For once, just answer the question.
  23. The new MOT legislation will catch out anyone who has had their DPF removed. This will be an automatic MOT failure, which means an expensive bill for a new DPF and software update. Revving the life out of the engine will not improve the chances of regeneration. The engine management software adds additional fuel or catalyst as and when needed. A heavy right foot could slow down or prevent the regeneration. There are aftermarket DPF cleaners out there that do work, but they will never get the DPF like new. One other thing to mention is that a lot of garages (including main dealers) automatically assume the DPF is clogged and causing the problem. The pressure sensors used in DPFs are like any other vehicle sensor. They can and do fail, just like oxygen sensors or crankshaft sensors etc. Most garages will authorise DPF regenerations based on assumptions, but they won't actually bother to go through the proper diagnostic processes required to determine the exact cause of the fault.
  24. The oil was a generic type that they were packaging in different bottles. So customers who were buying a specific viscosity or ACEA rating to suit their vehicles were getting something entirely different. The wrong spec oil can lead to metal to metal contact within engines, so there may well have been issues as a result.
