  1. Are the crosshairs out of alingment? As in are they no longer perpindicular to each other?
  2. Is this what your sort of after m8?? http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/dpmmb7nx.html
  3. I have a pair of these TF boots and honestly have never had any problems with them. I've walked through 10 inches of muddy water etc and came out dry. Must've got a special pair or something lol
  4. Yeah ideally I'd prefer a weaver mount but dovetails would work, although they normally come factory installed. Would be more practical to use a weaver
  5. Never even thought of that lol Would certainly save a lot of hassle having to drill out the metal and what not. Cheers lad!
  6. I was wanting to put a red dot on my shotgun, but have searched the length and breadth of the internet for info/photos and can't seem to find any. It's for eyesight problems as it would be far easier for me to use. Anyone have any experience of this? I am aware it may require drilling, but theres plenty of space on the O/U Lanber to accomodate this. Any info appreciated folks
  7. Just curious as to what I should do about my latest acquisition. Its an O/U Lanber 12g and I got it for £100. The only problem is that the barrel has been spray painted using a matt plastikote type paint. It was done as a quick fix because the previous owner did not have the time to reblue it. Tonight I tried to take my dremel to it with a steel brush fitting. It was stripping the paint and blueing off, but I am now picking bits of steel out of my head, neck, fingers and legs lol. I would like to find a quicker way to remove all of the spray and blueing so that I am left with bare metal. It is my intention to fix the gun up by reblueing and refinishing the stock, just to make it look nice. It will still be a rough gun, but if it goes wrong it's not as if I'll be out of pocket too much. Was thinking either nitromors, cellulose thinners or brake fluid? I'd appreciate your input and advice. Don't want to mess the whole thing up!!! Cheers, Danny
  8. It may be bittersweet to a certain extent. It could be exactly the type of thing that may unite communities. The people of the north all want peace, not murder.
  9. Yet another unnecessary death. I hope they are just isolated incidents, but if not then I fear we may have worse to come. Thoughts and prayers to the officers family/friends and relatives.
  10. There isn't an easy fix for a situation like this. Both sides over the period of the troubles were to blame, but in this situation it seems dissidents are responsible, and have been for the majority. IMO the current government should be removed and replaced with neutral people over here. That way the peace process might work. There are too many people engaging in petty politics. Thoughts and prayers go out to those shot and wounded.

    scopes

Most air rifle scopes would be at home on a rimmy. There shouldn't be any problems transferring your scope providing you have the correct mounts. ATM I'm using a Hawke Target 4-16X44 Min Dot Reticle on my CZ452 .22. The clarity is superb. Getting anything with super magnification beyond 16 isn't really necessary. A 3-9X or 4-12X should be more than sufficient. As for moderators, I don't use one, but the Parker Hale FAC one has got good reports from a couple of guys I know. Depends on what ammunition you use though. Hope this helps
  12. If you bought the replica prior to the VCRA coming into force then you are fine. If you bought it after the act came into play and it wasn't painted a bright colour you are technically in breach of the law. Hope this helps
  13. OK let me clear things up. As an AVID airsofter I am more than familiar with the recent VCRB which came into effect last October. In order to buy RIF's (Realistic Imitation Firearms) you must be eligible to avail of one of the few defences granted to Airsofters, Museums or Re-enactment societies. In order to be able to buy RIF's (which includes blank firers) you can either take up airsoft skirmishing which involves playing more than twice over a period of OVER two months or; join a re-enactment society and be able to proove it. Unless you have a museum in your garden you can forget about that lol. After you have completed your trial period of airsofting, you then become eligible to get registered with UKARA (United Kingdom Airsoft Retailers Association). This then entitles you to buy black airsoft guns and blank firers, rather than two-tone guns. Most of which are painted green or blue. By all means these guns are not toys. They are full 1:1 replicas of the real firearm, and to the untrained eye they would be indistinguishable, even at close range. Hence the reason for limiting their availability to the responsible enthusiasts. I can understand people with real firearms getting a bit grubby over this, but imagine robbing a shop with a BSA Lightning. A weapons expert would be able to tell whether or not it was an airgun, toy or real firearm. Now imagine robbing a shop with a full metal UZI airsoft gun which hasn't been painted a bright colour? I can tell you now that 9 times out of 10 an armed response unit would not be able to tell the difference, and the other 10% would probably have just guessed. Sorry for the detailed reply, but it's something I feel strongly about. Any other questions feel free to ask. Danny

    Ghost's

I once had a ghostly experience. As strange as it was I could not make myself believe what had happened. Driving one night back from the driving range along the back roads I spotted what appeared to be a girl walking along the side of the road. Now this road wasn't exactly the type you walk on, as it's covered in mud either side without footpaths, and there isn't any civilisation for miles. Nothing but fields. Being the curteous gentleman I am, I drove past her. Hell I wasn't for picking some weirdo up in the middle of nowhere not knowing who or what she was lol. It was only as I looked into the rearview mirror that I noticed there was nobody there. Strange? So I stopped to have a nosy. By this stage she would have been maybe 100 yards behind me. It was a clear night, but there wasn't anywhere she could go. The fields were not accessible due to the barbed wire fencing, and if she had have turned back she still would have been visible. Jumping back into my car I proceeded to drive on, checking the mirror all te way down the road. I was driving for around a mile when once again she appeared behind be. I took a dose of the frighteners and havn't made my wee Fiat move as quick in all my life lol. Still to this day I use a different road to come home. Don't really like the thought of ghosts knocking around random roads when it's eerily dark and quiet.....
  15. Found two pigeon chicks in work today in our warehouse. They had fallen well over 40 feet from the roof beam they were nesting in. The fall had crippled them, so felt obliged to finish them off humanely.
  16. Just hope nobody accidently shoots the car
  17. I got that impression when I first fired a 96, but when I held the 90two it just felt right. Never fired it though thats the only thing, but for aesthetics IMO its hard to match
  18. Your local MOD base are handy for that type of thing. Providing you get permission from the land owner, they can fly overead and take photos etc, then digitalise the images onto an OS type piece of paper. We got this done for our airsoft site
  19. Only reason it costs so much for beretta is because of the supplier. Any other makes such as Walther or Colt etc are generally cheaper.
  20. Living in Northern Ireland we don't have to worry about this because we are not part of the UK mainland. The only handgun I own atm is a Beretta Model 71 Jaguar in .22, but what I would really like is a Beretta 90two with the laser in place of the recoil guide. I could get one, but they cost nearly £1000
