  4. To be honest the RSPB have been very good with helping our club out . I also think some people need to take the heads out there own backsides and give there heads a wobble .
  5. There was 5 wigeon 1 teal found dead not shot on the RSPB reserve at frampton reserve , they we're sent away for testing and came back and tested positive for H5N8 influenza-bird-flu .
  6. *********ATTENTION PLEASE READ********* I am sorry to say that we now have the virus H5N8 influenza-bird-flu on the wash . Myself and the club chairman have been on the phone to the appropriate authorities to seek some Advice for our club members . We have been told if your are out Wildfowling and you come across any dead wildfowl that has not been shot then please leave it and do not touch it. If you are shooting wildfowl then please take precautions there is no Danger to humans as this strain has never been passed on from bird to humans... how ever it is very bad news for poultry and wildfowl .if anyone works ,owns , or , comes into contact with either .then it would be advisable for you not to venture out onto the marsh until we can find out more information. WILDFOWLING HAS NOT! BEEN STOPPED ON OUR MARSHES ... but we ask you to take extra extra precautions if you are planning on going Wildfowling. If possible wear gloves when picking up shot foul .wash your hands ,wellies chestwaders thoroughly This is all we know at this time . As you know it's coming up to the new year so all the authorities we need to speak to will be closed till Tuesday. We do not want to start a wide spread panic but only to make our members aware of what's happening... Dewayne cross Vice chairman slwc

  9. Theres a couple only 10 minutes away from where you are moving to Tony...
  10. It seems everyone takes the easy option and just shoot them ,without trying other methods first ...I've often been called to deal with canadas out of season. . And not once have I used a gun or rifle ... Some people need to think outside the box more instead of just taking the easy options. .. Just saying .
  11. Just wondering if anyone on hear attened yesterday . If so what was your thoughts on some of the topics ..? WW
  12. I'm sure the Gentleman's Name will come to Iight eventually Grandelf. . Perhaps we should for now allow the family to grieve for him ...
  13. I don't think anyone should speculate how the Gentlemen died.it doesn't matter how he Died .it's a fact it's very sad .. credit must go out to those who helped in the search for him . I'm sure it wasn't a very nice situation to be in ... My thoughs are with his family at this sad time ..

I remember myself & best friend working along side each other back bent pulling Brussels in just leggings a T Shirts in rain, snow ,frosty weather without a care in the world. . My Dad said you will pay for it in the long run boys .. we just thought yea yea ... How he was so right .. Then Down the foreshore after work again in the worst conditions .. just in a camo jacket .. I thought I was the beas knees .. when my wife ,mother, sister .. all chipped in together and bought me a long shoreman jacket for my 25th Birthday. . Lasted me till I was 36 . They don't make um like that anymore. .. Happy Days. .
