  1. My Son has a year old proved vasectomised hob and a 3 year old jill. He has lost intrest in them as he has discovered girls and cars The jill is a good worker and from good stock and so tame she will lick blood off my fingers. He (the hob) has nipped me during feeding time but otherwise hes pretty good My son paid £85 out of his own savings to have him snipped so if he could get £60 for them I would be happy to see them go to a good home I just have to convince my son they have to go as I dont have the time to look after them They are both polecat coloured and we are in Llanelli, Wales Any takers?
  2. Just a minor point Ben, you should hang the bunnies by the rear legs (chefs golden rule furred by the leg, feathered by the neck) Nice bag by the way
  3. I was turned down when I first applied many moons ago for a 22/250 granted me a .22Lr bolt action and a firearms air rifle but told to apply in about a year or two. Eventually went for a 223 then 3 years ago asked for a semi auto .22Lr the reason I gave was my son was 14 and applying for a FAC and as we both went shooting bunnies together we wanted a .22lr each so eventually allowed a second .22Lr on my ticket
  4. I use a night searcher gunlight 400 with a red lens its aluminium body makes it robust and its small and light and served me well over the past 20+ years,my son has a clulite with a swivel red lens if im alone i prefer the 400 as its scope mounted but if we both go out we use the clulite as it has two settings low and high and if you do need to light up your quarry for positive ID the clulite is easier to go from red to white light whereas you have to remove the 400 lens rather than swivel to one side
  5. Me and my son always feed our ferrets before going out,not a full english just a small snack and have never had a kill and eat situation If were out for 4 hrs or more we give them some rabbit offal if we've caught any bunnies. Otherwise we take along some dried ferret food for them and we also use a ferret finder
  6. Plaid Cymru the Party of Wales have issued a report today about the number of children who have been issued shotgun and firearms licences by the four constabularies in Wales. The AM for South Wales central Chris Franks has just been on TV saying "These are very very dangerous weapons in the wrong hands and we fully appreciate farmers and the like might need these weapons, but theres no possible reason why you should put such dangerous weapons in the hands of a child" Ive already emailed the **** pointing out my son has had both certificates since the age of 14 and has never been a danger to anyone whilst handling his SAFE "dangerous" weapon So if there are any future budding Olympic medal winners in your local schools in Wales dont vote for Plaid cymru. The report actualy made it sound as if there's nine year olds roaming the streets with weapons
  7. Hi i am looking for a hob in the Llanelli area to breed with my son's gill if anyone can help let me know
  8. Made elderberry port back in back in 1989 stuck 2 bottles in the garrage and forgot about them, decanted one of the bottles for x-mas day, bloody potent stuff, was weary to try at first but it went down a treat after the first sip
  9. Ingredients :- 1 tbsp clarified butter 1 pigeon 300ml pigeon stock 1 tbsp butter Method :- 1. Set the oven to 200°C/gas 6. 2. Heat the clarified butter in a pan and lightly brown the pigeon. Place the pigeon in a roasting pan and roast in the oven for 1 hour. 3. Place the pigeon stock into a saucepan and bubble gently until reduced by half. Stir in the butter and serve immediately. 4. Serve the pigeon with the sauce . Dont think you need to roast for 1 hour though 20 - 30 min should be enough for a pigeon when placed in a pre heated oven
