  1. This is a excellent, nearly 2 year old gun with 30", over and under barrels. It has 3.5" chambers and is proofed for steel shot so is ideal or wildfowling or foxing. I want £400 for this which is a bargain in my opinion. Please message me any queries or offers. Regards, Chris
  2. Have you got fox on your ticket for the .17??? Alot of people in Yorkshire are struggling to get it. Chris
  3. I'll never be a bloody scientist but I know whats goin on around me on the shoot and how to go about my job. I don't do your job because I'm not qualified. If we were all as intelligent as you the world would be a ****e place. You can't get at me for not being blessed like you but I do my job, you do yours (NASA scientist?) Chris
  4. Does anyone have any or know of any broody hens in West yorkshire. I'v got loads of pheasant eggs and my incubators full. Thanks in advance, Chris
  5. Pink drill.........Special school for me I'm afraid. Chris
  6. I hate to say it but sport and vermin control are two different things entirely. I personaly would prefer to use a terrier at this time of year for killing cubs and the vixens but now its warmed up, any barren vixens or dog foxes will be above ground so they need to be lamped or driven to guns. Tommy, youre an experienced shooter so I'm not sure why you cant see this and why you see the need to have a go at anyone who puts up pictures of dead foxes. Have I missed something?? Chris
  7. Ever heard of cremation, its where they burn people, yes, people. The real world mate, they showed pictures of piles of burning cattle during foot and mouth. Get a grip.
  8. I just cut off the tails with the bone on them and put them on the boiler for a month or so. Never had a problem this way. (Done it with fox, and squirrels) Regards, Chris
  9. Sell it and buy a golden retriever :(
  10. Should have car by then. Sanring and trapping?? Chris
  11. Dont use poison but use the stuff that clogs up inside of the rodent so is harmless to anything bigger than rats and squirels. Not sure what its called but ask at the loacal agri merchant. Chris
  12. I had 5 of these, 2 drowned so three left, then some bas*&%d kept cutting through the pen so I ate them. Very nice they were too. Saved my chickens from the fox aswell. Chris
  13. Instead of setting them outside the hole, follow the runs from the set until they go through some brashings or under a fence. Set the snare on these runs and check them TWICE a day. Carry a gun and some wire cutters with you as if you do catch brock you can cut him free which is easier than untangling him. As mentioned earlier, look for hair caught on anything as this is probably the best thing to tell you what is running this line. Good luck. Chris
  14. Iv got a Zabala and its done ok. Like a posh baikal. IF theres no foxes playing ball i can use it to put fence posts back in. Chris
  15. Up at 8, walked all the dogs round th fields for half an hour, cooked breakfast then off to the Beagles, got to the pub for 1030 and met up with some old friends. Hunt set off about lunch time and me and my brother went to our shoot. Had a good walk round and shot a squirel. As we were about to pack up i decided to tap a copse through while my brother stood at the end. Good idea as he shot his first ever pheasant. Packed up shotguns and spent an hour with the air rifle. A cracking day with excellent company. Lets hear everyones storys. Chris
  16. Does anyone have the address? Havent sent all my cards yet.
  17. Looks like people cant accept others opinions. Why have all the sensible posts been removed, was it because people voiced an opinion?? Surely we are all old enough to be able to take a bit of arguing. Please dont delete this as well. Regards
  18. only a bit of rotty ill put a pic up if i can get one and see what you boys think. Chris
  19. Cant say im overly fond of foxes. Might i be speaking for a few other keepers out there?? Chris
  20. I thinks its about 2 years. Its mainly a pet but its quite fit caise he walks it alot. Hows the best way to start training it??
  21. Right, I know theres some lurcher blokes on here, so........a mate has a collieXwhippet xrotty cross. Would this be any good as a running dog (legal quarry of course) for when my poults are being pestered. Thanks in advance, Chris
  22. I suppose not. But then if were hunting foxes on the Welsh mountains and knowones there to se it..................is it illegal?
  23. Nearly, just got up a tree didnt have the gun either.
  24. Was out in one wood on the estate today and saw a squirrel in a clearing. Set the dogs after it (golden retrievers ) was this illegal as i dont think we can hunt squirell with dogs???
