Thanks Vince - just seems odd that a lot of new cars are touch screen ( a Tesla for example) and they can fiddle away with the satnav
or if I was to revert back to my Tom Tom that may be ok ?
oh well I guess I will have to argue my case if I get pulled ! But much prefer to concentrate on the road and leave my phone concentrating on getting me to my destination
Thanks for taking the time Agriv8
This link explains it well:

Ok so just a question here my phone is also my satnav - google maps - while sat in slow moving traffic I will check if there is an alternative route am I breaking the law ? Would the plod on the bus call my details in ?
the phone is mounted on a holder to side of screen and is hands free for the very odd time someone calls me !
just interested Agriv8
AFAIK you are not breaking the law if the phone is in a holder. If you are using Google maps with phone in your hand it’s definitely an offence.
Check out @CyclingMikey on YouTube. Whether you agree with his methods or not he catches dozens of motorists using their phones in stationary traffic on a GoPro and sends it to the police. 6 points and a fine.

Would add Croots, Parsons and Brady but with quality there is a cost. As Steve says, depends on the £££ of your gun I suppose.

I used to own one of these, this is a quality gun at bargain price. Good luck with the sale 👍

Most days I work from home and need a reliable broadband connection. No problems with BT in the 6 years I’ve been with them. I renewed in December, like Gordon above, for the BT/EE 150 mbs full fibre deal.
-
If you decide to split, I’ll have 2 slabs of Superlight (and the 3 slabs of Pigeon Power if jjc changes his mind). I’m local too.

Barbour do a clean and re-wax service for 50 quid. I had mine done a few months ago and it came back like a new coat.

A link would help. Had a look and couldn't find it.

Interesting, I also read the thread and both parties didn’t conduct themselves very well at all. In fairness the uk coach is very well respected and can back up is outspoken views with achievements. The other guy, not so much! That said no excuse for the belittling comments on a public forum.

Out of the ones who have replied to this thread I can't see anybody who liked the man , I don't like him either but on the box last last night it stated he got a standing ovation after one of his last gigs , so it seem a lot of people do like him , so are we the majority or the minority ?
I must admit I do like him, always found him genuinely funny and he is undoubtedly a clever guy. It seems unfortunate that he has put his drug taking, womanising ways behind him and settled down with wife a kids and all this comes to light. As another poster mentioned nobody complained at the time and they would have been aware of his reputation.
Think I’ll reserve judgement until he has his day in court.

Agreed re the Napier Gunslip, absolute bargain. I have one of these and can vouch for the quality. GLWS

Welcome Matt, great content on your new channel (and enjoyed your reviews with PG before that)

The Purdy series on YouTube is worth a watch.
a man
a file and some smoke
a lump of metal
my favourite is the Jack Rowe stuff also on YouTube
Just discovered Devongunsmith on YouTube. Absolutely fascinating and filmed in real time in most cases.

TSC link below. Wouldn’t mind a go but don’t think it will catch on.

As far as i know Vario have sold out to Swatcom, One of my rev 4s packed up and despite numerous messages, emails etc nothing . Now i see Swatcom are doing the C20 which Vario were marketing as Novo.
I have some CFG moulded passives which do the job i want them to. But i was not overwhelmed by the time they took from mouldings to delivery.
That's interesting, re Vario and Swatcom. I have the revolution 3's and had excellent support from them when I needed a replacement module under warranty.

As others have said, this should have been agreed beforehand. I would put it down to experience and move on. £50 doesn’t sound too unreasonable to me, a day out in the countryside using your friends kit for the price (or thereabouts) of 100 bird round at your local clay ground.

Subscribing, in the Youtube context means any videos he publishes will appear in your feed, and is free.
Someone at Youtube figured out this terminology was confusing, and thus paying for extras, which @HantsRob is alluding to, is referred to as 'channel membership'.
Yep, sorry.. I did get my terminology mixed up! I meant that, although a good channel, I’m not prepared to pay for the extra content. I have subscribed to get the free content in my feed 👍

Yup, and I am sure he would cringe himself at what he did 5.5 years ago. Really it wasn't a good video.
if you haven't watched some of the big videos of late (on the main free channel) I really reccommend the couple of Beretta videos (Inside the beretta custom shop was my favourite), the hull factory tour, and shooting in New York with Reid Bryant was a nice watch. It was also good seeing the US open and world skeet! Honourable mention for Jim from Longthorne doing the gun servicing, and seeing him drown an action in Legia which I was always told was a no-no!
Yes, I sound gushy. The lad has also created some stuff which felt waffly and content for contents sake. Being as objective as I can, it's horses for courses. "Decoying Essex Pigeons" was my first real view of decoying. As a non-bird shooter it was really interesting and de-mythed a lot of things, and taught me a lot from one persons point of view.
Any promotion of the sport from a clay and game point of view has to be positive regardless, right? Certainly better than OGC which has a slight cringe factor for other reasons.
Agreed, the content is so much better than it used to be. JC's presenting style has improved over time as you would expect. He also occasionally has very good 'guests' (Ed Solomons, Simon Reinhold, Nick Horten particularly) which keeps me interested. I won't be subscribing though 😃

I just used fairy liquid and a sponge scourer on my drive, as that’s all I had. Rub in and leave to soak for a few minutes. Very effective on small areas and certainly worked for me. It will take a few goes though..

Yes I agree, a great film. On a related note would recommend Ferrari with Adam Driver (as Enzo) and Penelope Cruz - currently on Sky.
