  1. Steel gun cabinet. 29cm x 23cm x 137cm. Two sets of keys for it. Item is in Driffield, East Yorkshire. £40
  2. Sable ejectors, twin triggers. Decent gun. Need for more space forces sale. £90 Gun in Driffield, East Yorkshire
  3. Didn’t even know they were there. I’ll give them a try. Much appreciated buddy
  4. Always used York Guns for reloading bits and pieces. Anyone know of local shops that stock reloading equipment? I’m aware of CDSG but just want primers and they only do mail order. I live Driffield. Cheers
  5. Hands up all the wildfowlers who thought "it's only bloody July!"
  6. I have a Bearmach (I think) dog guard for a discovery 2. It is ONLY the grill but brand new. no fittings or brackets, just the grill. Still boxed. Pick up only. Driffield East Yorkshire. £10
  7. Don't be too put off Rob. Like anything the odd bad one sneaks through quality control. I've had a Select for about 18months now just as a clay gun. Put thousands of cartridges through it and it is still like the day I bought it. It is one of the best guns out there for the money.
  8. They are doing shotgun applications and renewals in East Yorkshire!!!!
  9. Never had a problem with my Jack Pyke one. I use it on its own fastened to fishing poles with elastic bands. I get Pigeons tight in to the hide just 15 metres away into the decoys. I think the trick is to have a solid background and keep stock still until you are ready to shoot. Works for me, unless the pigeons are just thick in East Yorkshire! LOL
  10. I am looking in to this too. I have decided on either an Airwolf which seems to bee the cream of the crop or ridiculous as it sound a Gunpower SSS and then send it away to get tuned (new hammers, .25 barrel etc). You'll find many armchair experts telling you one thing and another so my advice is to go to a good gun shop and try some out as it's a very personal choice.
  11. I'm making a dog cushion from Rabbit pelts. I'm now thinking of stuffing it with the down from the ducks and geese that I shoot. How do I go about drying and cleaning the down before stuffing the cushion? I can't find anything on the net. Thanks in advance
  12. This is only the Guard. No hanging brackets of fittings. Brand new. Never used. Collection only. East Yorkshire. £20
  13. Thanks Ali. TBH one of the big factors was the price. I do like the Air Wolf, just the price puts me off a bit and it is 20FPS lower power than the SSS. I wouldn't mind tuning it to make it a bit special too. As for using it, my lad is into Target shooting so I could do a bit with him. (and have a better gun ) and I am not as keen a shot as you by the sounds of it. I think age is dulling my accuracy reaction times LOL. I don't really shoot rabbits with the shotgun, mainly duck's and Pigeons on our Fishery but my mate has a large farm where I shoot Pigeons and he has a BIG Rabbit problem so wanted to to have a bash with an air rifle which would hopefully be a bit lighter to lug around than my O/U. You've got me thinking now though. Thanks again mate!!

  15. I am in the process of applying for my FAC (I already have a shotgun certificate) as I am looking at buying a Gunpower SSS. Does anyone have any experience of these guns and did you have any problems convincing your local firearms Licencing Officer why you needed it. I will use it for target shooting and rabbitting beyond distances I am accurate with my shotgun. I have read up on these on the internet but would like some honest opinions. Thanks in advance.
  16. Depending on which Police Force area you live in depends how keen the Firearms officer is. I would ask for a thousand rounds for each caliber. If they ask you why you want that many tell them, it's cheaper to buy them in lots of 1000. They should let you. You may also be asked to justify why you want both a .22 and .17 HMR. Be ready with your answers as if they are not satisfied they can be really awkward. .22 good for situations where the quarry is a bit closer and the ammo is cheaper. .17 HMR's good for stuff a bit further away but the ammo is more expensive. Good luck mate.
  17. I just came back last Monday. 3rd time in 5 years. I too was shocked at the price hikes so we went with American Airlines from Manchester, via Chicago. saved £150 each over Virgin so thought the the longer journey was worth it..........Never again. Pay the extra and go with another airline. The staff were miserable and unhelpful, the plane was falling to bits, the food was atrocious, I wouldn't have fed my dog that ****. The journey was so long it took the kids a week to get over it. Just a note off at a tangent. Go to Outdoor World (preferably without the missus and kids). North along International drive to the very top, bear to the left and its on your right. The biggest hunting and fishing superstore you've ever seen. I was in heaven!!!!!!!1
  18. Need the hangers that bolt on to the Bearmach dog guard to hang on the fittings for Land Rover Discovery II. Anyone know where I can get some? I've tried Bearmach Cardiff and their service is shocking so I've given up. Any advice appreciated.
