  1. I remember my first ferret mate, here she is= PRETTY 'EH? ferret.bmp
  2. On one of my permissions the farmer has ten thousand chickens in big sheds, they are allowed outside access if they want it, but only a small percentage bother to go outdoors! These seem slightly different in their attitudes to the majority although they are all the same breed. I was leaning on the fence post watching them on Sunday afternoon and they were in little cliques of half a dozen or so, suddenly a rabbit hopped under the fence, and then another joined it! The nearest bunch of chickens ran at them and seemed to mob the two bunnies and soon saw them off! Is there a chicken fancier on here who could tell me if this is a common occurrence? I will certainly think twice in future before calling someone a 'chicken' these chickens were hard enough to get in to the SAS I reckon!
  3. REMOVED DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST.
  4. MATE, TRY jamesb30463@aol.com he's good with prices, quick delivery and reliable in selling good gear. I buy lots of gear off him, he lives in Scotland but is quick to post off the goods. Hope this helps, Merry Christmas Mate, Longnetter.
  5. Dungeness eh', do those coneys glow in the dark mate? I can get you more ground out at CHERNOBYL if you want it! NICE ONE MATE, GOOD CATCH THERE!
  6. 'THE ART OF LONGNETTING' Glenn Waters. I sent NNPULSE an email telling him that there is a bloke from the Midlands selling a copy on Ebay, he never put in a bid, so I think it's still up for grabs. midnightjake selling on HUNTING= OTHER HUNTING. P/S it ain't me, I live in Brighton, just trying to be helpful, it's £6.50 at present with 20 hours left, item 7183276962. Hope it helps.
  7. best I can do mate, the man in the picture is one simon whitehead, a legend in his own lunchtime and also a nice bloke, he sometimes contributes to this and other forums! :yp:
  8. THE LAW CLEARLY STATES THAT IF THE PRODUCERS OR THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS SAY THAT NO MORE WILL BE RUN OFF IT GOES OUT OF COPYRIGHT. NOW THEN, PHIL LLOYD WHO WAS IN WITH TRAPLINE VIDEOS SAYS IN CONEY CATCHER {'GET YOURSELF A COPY OF THE ART OF LONGNETTING BY GLENN WATERS PRODUCED BY TRAPLINE VIDEOS, THERE ARE NO MORE BEING RUN OFF, SO IF YOU HAVE TO BEG, BORROW OR STEAL ONE, THEY ARE WELL WORTH IT, HONESTLY!' ] SO ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL, THE COPYRIGHT HAS RUN OUT AND IT IS NOW A FREE FOR ALL SITUATION IN REGARDS TO WHO CAN SELL THE MOST, GOOD LUCK TO MY LUCKY BUYER, YOU GOT THAT VIDEO CHEAP, now make yourself a few bob whilst spreading the video around and giving that special knowledge to our hunting fraternity! p/s LET ME HAVE A COPY MATE, JUST FOR OLD TIMES SAKE!
  9. Taking the moral high ground are you mate? the same man who asked, in this very thread for 'a copy of a copy, if you can get it?' No mate, the original goes on ebay, a copy stays with me, WELL THAT WAS THE PLAN, but one of the members of this forum has now purchased the original, but I've not lost out and still have my copy to watch! All's well that ends well, and if this member see's fit, he will no doubt have a copy available to anyone with the shekels to pay for it!
  10. Well done mate, it takes a lot of perseverance to keep something going that long, there are loads of genuine people in the ferret world, you are obviously one, good on you mate, keep the faith!
  11. I had trouble getting to see this farmer about permission to rabbit his land, he was never about when I called around, but eventually agreed to let me go. The rabbit buries are massive, with steps leading down into them, loads of bunks and even cooking facilities, they even have their own armoury!
  12. The best way in the world as far as I'm concerned, been doing it for a very long time and STILL learning! Caught this the other night, it tried to bite me, but not for long! Anybody know how to skin and tan the bloody thing! Joking apart though mate, it's a real learning curve, I'm off for a couple of hours tonight, solo, because my longnetting mate is on a promise tonight and doesn't want to be disturbed! I use my own system now, a cross between Glenn Waters, Brian Brinded and a few innovations of my own. Everybody has to find their own way, there is no such thing as right or wrong, if it works for you, fair play, go out and enjoy it! The area I'm at tonight has late feeding rabbits, I'm not joking now, some areas seem to feed late at night others earlier in the evening. This area has walkers and motorcycles around until dark and then it settles down a bit, where on the other hand, one of the farms that I do has late afternoon rabbits, I think this is because there are no public footpaths and apart from the farmer and one tractor driver it is relatively human free. I won't tell you I catch hundreds at a time, that's the realms of fantasy, but I do alright and that suits me! Sorry mate, got carried away there, yes it can be effective in daylight hours, but don't expect miracles on the first attempt!
  13. How about this for a good catch of moles? notice the white one near the middle? how rare is that then?, No, I didn't catch them, it was an old rustic back in Worcestershire. I asked him to show me how but he wouldn't 'my tricks is my tricks, no ****** else's!' was his reply. Dad you can be a real miserable *** sometimes!
  14. What about a drop trap, or two? if you're in a situation where you more or less have to oblige them to keep your permission, maybe they might just be the answer?
  15. Re petrol debate, I've got a vehicle that doesn't need petrol, it runs on water, I've decided to call it a CANOE!
  16. I had a similar one saying I needed to pay another £350.00 on my electrity bill or get turned off, some people think these are funny things to send to people, needless to say I sent it to my recycle bin and forgot all about it! P/S I'm writing this on a mate's computer, my electricity doesn't seem to be working for some reason! :*)
  17. I wonder why I should take a fiver just to give someone the chance of making many more fivers by churning out copies galore! PLEASE LADS, NO MORE OFFERS, IT'S GOING ON EBAY SHORTLY AND THAT'S THE END OF IT NOW!
  18. I think the best bet is to stick it on ebay, get at least a realistic price considering how much I had to fork out for it in the first place! CHEERS ANYWAY LADS!
  19. O.K. lads, longnetters here, and accepting bids on a COPY of 'the art of longnetting' by glenn Waters. Don't be shy, fire away now boys, all bids considered.
  20. Since the end of last year, gassing is now ILLEGAL, tell him to think about it before he drops himself in the ****!
  21. Guess what Axe?, I'm a long netter and I live in Brighton. I'm absolutely not interested in shooting, I did enough of that when I was in the military, but I love my long netting and ferreting. If you're considering getting a long net of your own, I would willingly meet up with you first and show you the ropes with my own gear before you invest in your own. I have plenty of ground of my own to go at around Sussex but I'm always willingly to share my knowledge of long netting because it helps keep the art alive and that's got to be a good thing  !

OLD ROOSTER, there are a lot of very loud w*nkers in this world, BUT YOU AIN'T INCLUDED MATE, YOU are sound mate and it's 'usually' a joy to read your words of wisdom! Reconsider your ludicrous leaving speech, or, if I catch any more live mink I'll post them to you in a live and very hungry condition! Remember, Cannon had Ball, Laurel had Hardy, Morcambe had Wise and we've got YOU, so deal with it buddy! :<
  23. SON= dad can I have an X box? DAD= a what? SON= an X box, it's got great graphics! DAD= what the &$"* are graphics? SON= well the clouds move, the birds fly past, the trees move and the grass looks really green and moves in the wind! DAD= Oh, we had that when I was a kid, we called it PLAYING OUTSIDE!
  24. Stuart Burnham who was interviewed about his mom who later died, is a bus driver at my garage. He has medals from the Falklands war, suffered a lot of delayed stress and had menengitis as a further handicap to deal with. He overcame all this and looked after his mother and father daily for years, as well as holding down a full time job and running his own home as well. He went through all sorts of channels about the care his mother WASN'T receiving and eventually lost both his parents within a few weeks of each other. Panorama has flushed out a very nasty **** in the form of that uncaring male nurse! We need Dynorod down there now and get rid of all the other crapheads that are supposedly there to care for our loved ones!
  25. Jacko's lawyer is getting cocky now, he's boasting that he could even get Stevie Wonder a driving licence! :(
