  1. M Robson!! Nice one Bud. Will have to give that a go in future. I just used to use the Twigs from the edge of the field near the hide. Zeb
  2. Windscreen washer motor and a variable resistor to adjust speed and a motorcyle battery. Weld a few hollow rods of metal to the motor pinion which you can fix the arms into and weld a base to the bottom of the motor and a piece of tarp to hide the motor and battery. Zeb
  3. Its a rotating decoy you can use either dead quarry on it or plastic decoys. They are said to work well. I also use propped up dead pigeons all you need is a few tent pegs or a few twigs and they also work well Zeb
  4. The TDR brand new is £545.00 from Blackpool Air rifles. http://www.airgunbuyer.com/Showproducts.as...%20Air%20Rifles Scroll down the page and have a look. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Thats one nice looking rifle and worth the extra 45 quid. Zeb
  5. I have a .22 gunpower stealth. Accuracy is fair enough to drop rabbits at about 45 yards. POwer is full 12flb. Nice n easy to break down into a rucksack or the laptop bag. My honest opinion though even though i have a Stealth IS!!!!! If you have the £500 try and find a used Airarms TDR or save a few quid more and buy a new one. You can't fault them. Spot on accurate and power and you even get a class look with the wood parts. Now combine that over time with brass replacement parts and that is one BEAUTIFUL rifle. I am after one myself but have to wait to sell the car first. Zeb
  6. Im pretty sure you can still get the adapters in this country try euroguns i think it was there i saw them. Zeb
  7. Faulty valves / leaking bottles just not good enough for the market i say!! If you want a S16 then get the MK2 but be warned there are still a FEW reports but not as many of failures but the major part of reports on the MK2 is user error with the bolt (not locking it down propperly) if you want a GOOD take down try the Air arms TDR about £200 more expensive then the MK1 S16 but in my eyes worth EVERY penny. And failing that you may want to see if you know anyone with a Gunpower Stealth you can have a go of. They are quite versatile rifles and i have NEVER had a hinkling of bother with mine. You can do so much to them and they are sooooo simple to MOD and repair if the need ever comes. I have taken rabbits as far as 65 yards with a mates. Then i bought mine and i really never got out with it much but managed to skull cap a few bunnies out to the 40 yard mark no problem either. Try the TDR first and if you can!!!! Have a look at the stealth as it's NOT everyones cup of tea really but it's a belter for me. Zeb
  8. Most GEN1 NV has either 100mw IR illuminators if you get a good top end NV or below 100mw if you get the cheapies. Like i say go for a half way or top end GEN1 with a GOOD illuminator there is a 450mw illuminator i have been wanting to get my mitts on for a while (when i get the cash) http://www.opticsplanet.net/atn45sulorai.html Works out about £60 and if i can wangle it send as a gift i will get around the import duty I had a play with a Falcon a while back with a new IR illuminator and the vision was great i could make out the rabbits at 45 yards easily. Zeb
  9. Decent GEN1 with a uprated (higher power) IR illuminator can be just as good as a low end GEN2 Why spend 1000s when you can get a decent GEN1 and an Illuminator for under £500 Zeb
  10. BSA super ten is my opinion. I purchased a Webley Raider for £245 new which is nice and damn accurate 4mm target every shot at 25 yards. But the Super Ten is a cracking little rifle and will one day adorn my wall. Zeb
  11. They make a difference DOWN RANGE only. Trouble is usually by the time the pellet hits your quarry there is an enormous crack anyway which tends to scare any close prey off!!!! Zeb
  12. Have a word with Blackpool air rifles they have one in for the HW 77 so i asume they will produce one for the HW57 after all it's just a thinned down version really. Zeb
  13. I have NO doubt you will be able to purchase a new fore end with an adapter fitted to it somewhat like the Sharp innova adapters of old Hope you get sorted Zeb
  14. Good trick if you want to evade import Duty is to ask the seller to wrap in Gift wrapping and on the declaration of export to select the GIFT box and tick it. If it is a gift you don't get charged import duty i myself have NEVER yet had to pay them. Zeb
  15. A lot of people don't know IF you add a Higher power IR illuminator to a GOOD GEN1 NV system then you can get that GEN1 NV to out do the cheap GEN2. Why pay 1000s for a GEN2 when you can upgrade the GEN1 to be just as good for a little over £100?. Try it if you don't beleive me but a higher power Illuminator about 75Mw up over or even better is 100Mw as you will find most GEN1's will have about 35Mw illuminators. It's like changing a standard 100 watt bulb for a 500w much better for longer target aquisition at beyond 45 yards. Like i say give it a try Zeb
