Yes Jack all the tape will come off , quite a lot of it is neoprene camo it just slides off it's there to protect it when I'm in the field , should be in very good condition underneath , I use Bisley Magnum very accurate with these pellets .

It's 5 years old and about 50/55 full power shots before the needle goes into the red
