  2. As i've said i turn forty tomorrow, going to miss being in my thirties. Suppose you notice the march of time more when the decades turn over, forty feels and sounds so much older than thirty nine. So what did you people do when you turned forty, anything special or particularly memorable. Already having the said mid life crisis selling 4x4 pick up and buying a 3.0l tdi qautro convertible. Not really a mid life crisis as selling a little two seater convertible we also have. As the pick up has never been used off road, tow car really, and by buying the qautro cabriolet should get the best of both, sure footed four wheel drive to get to shoots in winter within limits and rag top for the three days of summer sun shine we get with half the running costs. 3. Ive just bought a fully carpet lined ten gun safe for three guns just so i have less chance of dinging my gun on the cabinet. as my other smaller one was a pig to get in and out of. Cleaned every time its used and wiped with oily duster cloth if touched for any reason. Mates love it if i put there gun in my cabinet for storage over night after shooting and going onto the pub after as i won't put a dirty gun in my gun safe, hence one sparkling clean gun next day when picked up. IF it gets knocked at all put a fiver in the cabinet every time you do, when you have got enough get the wood refinished ATB figgy

  18. Vipa they may do but what I was saying is they still use the same shape action frame cut out where the replaceable shoulder lumps are as all the other berettas not the curved shape of the SV10 which according to beretta are shaped this way to reduce stress which causes cracks at the sharp angles or something along those words I will have a look later as I'm on my fone at the mo and battery is getting down. Not going to the 24 hour but I'm taking my caravan over in august for two weeks touring and we are stopping near le mans for four days, some bugatti racing is on then so thinking I might have a look if not to inebriated as I love wine and cognac, just need the wife to drive!! Is there anywhere that is a must to visit when I'm there, you being a old hand at it. ATB figgy
  20. You can have the kickoff or similar recoil reducer fitted to any gun so don't let that sway your decision. Buy the gun you will be happier with if it's a keeper. I went through the same process a couple of months ago prevail or 682 gold e were my choices, I chose the 682 because of the adjustable trigger, ideal for gloves in winter and the gold e is already proven to be reliable with a long service life as is the sil pig, I was not to sure how well the prevail will wear with it's new fangled ceramic antiwear coatings or how it will retain it's future value, some points like the curved shoulder to reduce stress I've never heard of a cracked action on any beretta yet due to stress or anything else. If the new design is so good why was it not used on the new SO 10 guns, just more marketing ******** to tempt us to buy another gun because it must be better than the old now obsolete gun Im still using. Price difference was negligible for me as both are not far apart on price. But the 1 k between the two your looking at would give me pause for thought also. Hope your happy with your choice when you make it. ATB figgy
  21. The red banded one is skeet USA more open than cylinder the skeet purple one is what us Europeans call skeet choke between cylinder and quarter choke hence the red one being stamped with sk USA. ATB figgy
  22. You normally have cyl which is cylinder. ic -1/4. Modified -1/2. imp modified-3/4 . Full-full. The skeet USA red one is more open than cylinder choke. you might not have full choke I didn't when bought new got sk USA instead in the box. If you do a quick search loads will come up with the star markings and colours on the chokes aswell. ATB figgy
  23. Try an Internet search I looked a while back prices vary quite a bit between gun shops. I'm sure Avalon guns do them, but places that sell beretta will get them for you. ATB figgy
  24. The more I see the BBC doing this type of thing the more I question anything they report because we know how wide of the mark they are on shooting, just how misinformed are we on the other subjects the beeb decide to mangle in the name of news. ATB figgy
