  1. Gun wise I think I have the perfect thing fits like a nice Savile Row suite. Shot and choke is still to be found. I have been at the clay ground with cyl and 1/4. Just changed the cyl for 1/2. Then for shot we shall see come the season. Saying that once the pigeons start heading my way might try em with steel
  2. Ive been going to the clay ground and have gone from hitting very little to 70% so I think I should get something this season
  3. 👍 Thanks for the advise mate. I got plenty of 3inch 1s too
  4. The way I shoot open would be needed 🤣. But on a serious not will the shot get out far enough with cyl and imp cyl chokes??
  5. What sort of range are you getting with #2s?? I'm just thinking the BB s will hold more energy at distance for a cleaner kill
  6. would the #1 get out as far as the bb with the killing power?
  7. Lets say both are put through the same gun same choke what would you go for as an all round wildfowling cart?? Due to the extra weight the BB will go further out but by how much and would it be worth the 20 or so less pellets?? Im looking at loading them in a 3.5 inch case. Thanks in advance
  8. I got a lyman and have never looked back. Cleans the insides and the primer pocket/flash hole. As for what to add I just squirt in some ecover washing up liquid and some citric acid. Rinse them off well and dry in the over for 40 mins at 50 deg fan
  9. Got ya. Like those people living in London with jacked up land rovers 🤣
  10. Im guessing your a farrier? The came can be said about about a horse that a horse is too much animal. I was in the Blues and Royals and due to my lack of height I would get put on the big horses for trooping etc. The same horsemanship was needed to control them as the smaller ones. I think you should go for them.
  11. I'm guessing you have one or know of somebody with one?
  12. Imagine swinging one of them on a goose 🤣
  13. That looks proper smart. I have a 525 3.5 inch and the blued barrels always make me wonder if they will start rusting soon but I suppose if the do I can always do as you have. Let the 1st of Sept roll on
  14. I went and saw a chat about a chessie. Unfortunately the mateing didn't take but I'm going to wait untill next year now. IMO they are the perfect tool for the job. Mother has a very nice temperament and the Mrs liked them (that alone is worth the wait) she has never been a fan labs 🤷🏽‍♂️
  15. Never done it in my life but I might have to go down the bullying route if the antis start using this new law to attack us. We are a minority group and are being told what we do is wrong. Nobody is going after the pervs that go to the far east (Thailand etc) for there special holidays but we get hammered for something that humans have done since the dawn of time.
  16. Shouldn't hang around long. Best of luck
  17. This is not a fishing forum its a shooting forum 🤣
  18. There you go @dabloobana £1k for something that is going to give you 10 years +- of hard work come rain or shine.
  19. Lack of knowledge or not if you cant see thats a con you must need you eyes and brain testing. Dont worry try thease chaps one is even in Norfolk. People might just have to except that the price a of a good dog that is going to work hard for you has gone up. Its been low for a long time and while everything else has gone up with inflation dogs have generally not. As much I hate to say it but the pandemic and stupid people thinking oh lets get a dog on a whim has caused this but it has. There is always the option of waiting until next year when people go back to the office etc and get a rescue dog but then you will have to put in the hard work to gain the trust of the dog. A dog trainer might only be able to do so much the rest has to come from the owner. My advise is buy local and somebody you know is a reputable breeder.
  20. I know that but I understand he can be very nasty
  21. No kids for me 👍 but I do have a 9 year old JRT. I like the idea of a crate in the porch or enterance hall that way its straight out for a ****/poo. Also might also have a separate bed in the living room
  22. When I served in the Army one of my mates had a spaniel like that we all called him leaky pipe
  23. I see your point about the prison thing. Should the crate be in the living room or a quite place?? And can the dog still have a basket in a communal area?
