    MY NEW RIFLE

Don't tell me, this is all part of your NV research & development eh New NV set up = New Daystate Rifle. Like your style When you starting the MK3 NV then??
  2. Nice one! I mean two! Also nice traditional shooting wagon Saw that in the field at the flush on Sunday. Would love to have the land to even be in with a chance of getting a FAC. Happy bunny bashing
  3. Hi Terry hope you are well, hear your a very busy man these days and so deserved. Not sure what the rumours are but shot at AGL Thursday evening as they are opening extra hours 5 till 8pm on Thursdays at the mo with special rates on clays. They have just installed and opened a Grouse Butt. A new kitchen is going in for serving grub on top of all the new stands and general infrastructure they have already invested in so all looks good. Its definitely an improvement on what it had become especially with getting the shooting over the fields back. Hope to see you soon
  4. Welcome to PW Plenty of guys from Herts active on here. Nice friendly sociable people. Enjoy!

  7. Went out for a few hours yesterday just for a recce very few birds about my way even in the woods.
  8. Got a couple a few years back from a guy at a dog flapping meet in Derbyshire with angled rods and flocked full bodied deeks with foam wings and tails which move up and down and side to side in the wind. Seemed to work for me when placed at each edge of the pattern almost guiding the birds into the centre. Always have plenty of other deeks with movement in the pattern. Have also used the old style bouncers but always with dead birds with wing spreader and fanned tail. Like everything though sometimes they seem to work and sometimes they don't. Best advice keep it simple
  9. Try "manual flapper" in the search forums box. Lots of previous threads including DIY, piccys etc
  10. Have around a dozen people that have shown a keen interest. Have asked that they let me know at the next shoot in a fortnight when I will get some firm answers / names.
  11. Alan just so I get this right can you confirm the planned number of flushes x qty of clays each flush and likewise for the sporting layout as these guys wont have taken part in one of your days before as most are not on this forum. Many thanks

  20. Hi Terry Put me down please. I'll sort the logistics out later! Thanks & best regards
  21. Turned out to be nothing major Scott, more to do with the trigger block being too sensitive i.e even if a bit of dirt gets behind one of the ejectors or the locking bolt it can block the trigger, even more so as the gun is newish and hasn't been used that much. The gunsmith at the shop I got it from was great. He de-sensitised it a bit and gave the internals a good clean and test fired it while I waited.Even changed the pitted bottom firing pin gratis. Shot it at the last RBB shoot and it didn't miss a beat so hoping all is sorted now. Is that part of your protection training or game birds you may know?
  22. Gun sorted so going for the RBB / Almshoe double this weekend, so should be there.
