  3. Cheers Lads, The Lab has just been lined so she wont be jumping around like that for much longer. Will give me a good chance to spend some time with the Wire Viz she needs some 1 on 1 to get her ready for the season

  6. The pup has been a bit reluctant to take to the water, but yesterday she really got her confidence. As you can see she has no real style yet :laugh: But she is getting there Then it was time for the Pro to show her how it is done Bring on the Ducks

  11. I had a bitch that used to do it, as above i just ignored her then graduly started to slowly stroke her,, so as not to get her excited. worked a treat then over time she just stoped doing it altogether

You are right there mate Although i do agree with 90% of what they say, having worked Labs and Spaniels most of my life they are the back bone of most of the work that goes on around the shoot (and i dont think i would be without one). But i also appreciate an animal that can not only work differently but looks very good doing it. My dogs have to be very versatile as i use them on many different types of work, HPR's are probably no better than conventional breeds and maybe are no more versatile, but they just do things differently and some people just dont like change. But for me, i do like a variety, as i do in my sport What will you ultimately be using the pup for?

  16. I always used Beta Pup, but when i got my Wire Viz she was on Eukanuba, kept her on it and i am really impressed its more expensive but she eats less which is good because she is picky.

  19. Yes he is a smart looking dog alright My Wire Viz is only 8 months and is still very puppyfied, so take your time with him, there is no hurry pal.
  20. My dogs have never had a collar on and never will i am with Scotslad, they are allways Working / training
