  1. Well done mate & good pics as well
  2. SOME Labs wont i agree, but there is alot of hard hunting labs out there if you bother to look for the right working lines. Mine is only just over 21" and flyes through the brambles and gourse like a terrier.
  3. Cracking pics mate and nice looking dogs
  4. Are you asking "What dog food is the best" or what do we feed our dogs on? The best type of dog foods are the ones that are £40+ but they are not always needed. I tried all the main good brands with my Lab and i am sure they are all cracking dog foods but they just didnt suit her and made her very loose. So after trying everything in Farmway she ended up on Dr Johns Gold, its only £11 but the main thing is it suits her. So i think the "Best Dog Food" will not be the best for all dogs. Also its not that i just want to feed them cheap rubbish, as my Wire Viz pup is on Eukanuba.
  5. Very smart looking litter, well done mate
  6. Lad i know has a 3/4 Springer 1/4 Lab, is white and black dog with a broad Labs head, looks quite smart really and hunts well, good alrounder.

  11. This was my HWV at 5 Months She is now almost 8 months and coming on well with her training, she is alot more steady and trainable than i thought, having trained GWP and spaniels before, she has more spirit than my lab, but is not far off her when it comes to being steady. I will use her as a rough shooting dog, pigeon shooting and on my driven shoot, i also like to bush rabbits with my dogs to the lurcher, i know you shouldnt but it excellent fun and keeps the dogs fit in the summer. All in all, so far i am very impressed with this breed and like Baz said, i think the main thing is they just want to be with you, whatever your sport.
  12. I dont blame you pal. I love a bit of rough shooting and out of season i normally shoot rabbits, as the numbers are right down i need to start havin a go at the pigeons. Dave.
  13. Sounds like you are onto a winner mate. Like the good advice given, get to know your land before you make any dicissions, take your time with your planning and keep the old boy on side (maybe help out with a few jobs), and as above get your deal for 3 years or more so you can make some good strong planns for the future, as well as some good hides around the pond and rides through the cover, which would be a waste of time if you only get the land for a year or so. Sounds like you are starting well, good luck. Dave.
