  1. I'm struggling locally to find 2 1/2 inch carts for my s/s and have thought of getting a Load all 2 (they are about £45) and trying to reload my own I'd need to do a clay cart and a game. My thinking is I can use the 2 1/2" in my O/U. Is the load all2 a complete package? Is it easy to use and is it worth doing? Can I use the same part in both shells apart from shot and just beef up the powder with the right formular?
  2. All mine have been full worked well for me. Didn't know could get any but full and 3/4
  3. So let me get this straight. I can get a 17 HMR for vermin and occasional fox (my day time gun) Keep my 10/22 with mod for vermin and lamping Get a 243 for deer and foxes and use that for lamping and stalking (I borrow a stalking rifle at the mo a 270)? I think I need to speak to my FAO if this is correct.
  4. You Have PM Ill take it
  5. I'm looking for a rifle for longer range rabbits with HV rnd thought of getting another 22LR just for day shooting with stingers as at mo I have to bore sight again to use my subs at night. So do I get another 22LR or a 17 HMR and just use my 10/22 for lamping with subs. I think I will get a 223 later on when I have cash and I'm closer to West Wales.
  6. So is it worth me getting a 17 HMR for long range rabbits and the odd fox the walks by. FEO is happy to do it but is worth me spending the money or should I just get a 223 and be done with it.
  7. I've never use a 17 HMR but hear you can use it for close foxes! I've a 22LR and wouldn't even woth HV ammo want to shoot a fox with it. Can the 17 HMR be used on foxes and at what range? Why is it better the 22LR? Should I put in for 1 (my FAO said he will give it to me ) cuurently use Stinger for long range rabbit during the day and Win Sub X at night lamping and close to when I need my Mod?
  8. SAK works better on my 10/22 with Winchester Sub X.
  9. Mate If you can keep the gun Sandhurst has a good shoot and clay ground of it's own. And when you leave you can always keep your gun in the Units armoury, theres alway shooting to be had in the Army, my Boss got me a free day this year as he doesn't shoot. Good luck with it, it's a great year when you look back on it!!!!!

  12. Sak if great just replaced my paker hale with 1 for my 10/22. Scope are ok I've heard but there are better, I have an old Tasco thats always worked well. Replace the recoil buffer with a rubber one, fit an extended mag release and either an auto bolt release (i'll sell you one if you want ) or a CST last shot bolt catch. All works for me I also change the stock as the standard one was a bit short.
  13. The Army are issuing Benneli M3 (I think) semi auto now for the green zone in Afganistan the shells have 9 9mm lead shothink it has a10 shot mag and red dot sight it's also got a fancy folding stock. So guess it's not on their SGC then!!
