  1. Dont get me wrong mate I am no plumber but I have always found if you could take a picture of the thing someone more qualified than me would help you I am sure "let the dog see the rabbit" It might be that you could cut it out and put some push fit fittings on or something as it doesnt sound as though its used regularly if its under the bath. I dont know just guessing. Regards Hcc
  2. Now that does not seem to be an easy job if the bath has to come out Is it stuck open or closed? why does it need to be changed?
  3. I do like that thanks, I shall give that some thought, now where is that boy?
  4. For someone so young you are so wise that is good advise, to be honest with the tide the other day I could have got by with wellies Yes but the chap that went with me down Andersons had been roaming around Kirton marsh all morning then came off and went with me in the afternoon , fit as a fiddle
  5. Will do mate if I am still off work
  6. I have given the thigh waders some thought and the thing is when I went with dale down winkle run to the front we were knelt down in small creeks and the water came up around my waist as I had to tie my coat up higher than my waist, with thigh waders I would have been wet. I think the way forward is some nylon chest waders which will be more room to move and also so I can sit down on them as well. Probably get some for 20 odd quid off fleebay. Reagrds Hcc
  7. I know who you mean and if you join his club he would offer to show you around dont worry about that, there are clay shoots before the season starts and thats where you will get a lot of information, there is more than Frampton marsh to go on there is Blacks just aroung the corner and Kirton further along the bank to name a few. pm me if you want more general info Regards Hcc
  8. Yesterday, nowt you could have had them, today not so sure
  9. Its just old age creaping on and a moaning old g*t I have just been to the physio about my shoulder and expained what happened with my hips and he said the 5mm neoprene waders would have been too tight and too much resistance when walking like walking in a straight jacket, I think he was sugesting I should lose weight Nylon waders next time then, more room to move about :good: Regards H
  10. I am glad its not just me then, thing is oxfordfowler runs down there and is not out of breath, mind you he is not a fat hat like me You can get ready
  11. Its alright for you, your just a young pup Not a lot knocking about and it was like a summers day not what I was expecting Its lashing on my home window here though.
  12. I arranged to meet Dignity off here to have a stroll down Andersons creek this afternoon. I have not been out for various medical type reasons and was hoping that I was getting a little better. From the car park to Andersons creek is a good walk, I cant just think how long probably an hour or so. When I got there my hips were aching like flippin eck ( I have never had any bother in this area before) Anyway I thought I would like to get back closer to the car sooner than later. I hatched a plan so that Dignity could go to a safe area to have an evening flight and I left him to enjoy it. It was really painfull walking back to the car and was I happy when I was in the driving seat. I think if I was a horse they would have me put down, 57 and knackered. A few pictures from today.
  13. Sorry mate wasnt being funny I didnt realise this type of thing was called a ball valve, I thought that was the old "ball valve thing" Quiet Part 4 equilibrium 8½" fixed height bottom inlet fill valve. For toilet cistern or storage tank. To be correct
  14. Thats the one mate, flippin hector, never mind I will know for next time PW is a fountain of knowledge :good: Thanks again. Regards H
  15. Just fetched new job lot Armitage Shanks £10.49p with a view to fitting tomorrow but thanks anyway that is a very kind offer Its not that sort mate different altogether, I wish it was a ball valve.
  16. I could not fathom the problem even after stripping it down and it was as clean as a whistle. Asked a mate to have a look and he Identified a small rip in fold in the rubber so not working properly. Off to screwfix to get a new part (98097) as I cant find a new rubber. Thanks for everyones help Regards Harry
  17. I am sure someone will know how to strip it down, I think it must be gunged up, thanks
  18. I checked that this morning and that seems fine and it stops the water flowing
  19. Sorry to be a nuisance but I have another question about a filler on a toilet that takes about 45 minutes to fill. The picture below shows that there is a lot of black type gunge around the water line and suspect that this could have something to do with the problem but how did it get there and what is causing the slow fill and how do I cure it without calling a plumber out? It flushes ok but just takes a long time to fill. Thanks for looking. Regards H
