  1. The book says best one month either side of christmas. others say cut em when you see em cos someone else will have them. I'm going to cut a few this week, but like maliserow says they're getting heavier so these will be the last ones.
  2. Thanks ditchman that is what Im thinking of doing. just wondering about howto ensure I get the lines right. Bobba thanks for your replybutIneed to add too much length for a recoil pad
  3. I've got an old Baikal 16 bore that I bought for my son when he was 14. However he's grown up and lost interest. Anyway I could do with extending the stock by about 2 inches but dont want to spend on a gunsmith as the gun only cost 80 quid. I had a look on youtube but cant find anything. Does anyone have any suggestions for a DIY solution?
  4. Hi Footu Whereabouts in North Wales are you talking about? No dog atm but always turn up for shooting, beating and work parties. cheers Dave
  5. Once had the privilege of watching an osprey hunting o the river Tay when I was fishing for salmon. Saw deer moving through the wood at the side of the river same day. Next day watched a pine marten swim the river. Even caught a salmon that week. Best week out ever
  6. Spot on - Fortress.could be breeding a bit early
  7. Thanks for the info chaps. I am not looking or expecting to get any land of my own. Really estate rifle/ cull is all i would expect to see how i get on with it. I wouldn't dream of trying to stalk in my own right until experienced enough and confident in my own abilities; DSC1 an essential for this. I'm in North East Wales and there are no deer within an hour of me (some fallow in Abergele/st Asaph areas). Thanks again
