Theres an abbundance of food around at this time of year....its hard to get under them and pin them down......article in sporting shooter this month suggest a few of ya going out and decoying farms in the vacinity of each other to keep them moving around.....

shooting over peas and sp barley....very quiet in cornwall....early buds seem to be a recurring comment...be patient boys...their still out there...

Probably in the region of 200ish this year...give or take.... total....4468

Give it a go...whats the worst that can happen......at least ya showing the farmer your up to the job.....

Agree with all of the above....never a waste of time....ya might get the odd magpie,squirrel rook etc....ya never know what ya mite see.......

Cant remember last time i saw a hare.....im in cornwall now,not many down here....spoke to friend in notts....said he saw 8 hares last thursday nite while lamping...

When i was out yesterday,a roe Calf strutted over the field towards my deeks....sniffed and licked the head of a jackdaw id shot and put at the head of the pattern...then sniffed my pigeon deeks...snorted and walk off through a gap in the hedge...not more than 20yrds from me....what a sight......ive also had a sparrow-hawk kicking,yes kicking my deeks over..that was a couple of months ago now.......any body else seen anything memorable...?

newquay here.. meetin up for a shoot is a no no in my opinion.to many people.....i reckon if theres going to be a meet.it should just for a social,at a hotel,club or in a city pub somewhere..id be up for it if some1 was going to sort it....just my opinion....
