  4. evining all not one to put the cat amongst the pigeons ,but just think of the guys yousing semi-autos only one barrle and one choke tube? The second shot with the same choke ? or even the third!
  5. Camo cream To get camo cream of your face you need to pinch your wifes niva face cream!!!! You put the nivia on first rubed in well and put the camo cream on after... comes of a treat .trick of the trade .Also did you now that millitary camo cream is made by maxfactor and it has a built in insect repelent.. I dont work for maxfactor i was in the Army for 12 years
  6. Hi their every one well you could say i have got time on my hands, i work month on month of .. plenty time for thinking of ways to make cheep decoys :( as for putting the wings on to a crow decoy it could possibly be done ,but with the crow being in a siting position would it not look funny.the decoy is not that difficult to make a good knife and a bit of sticky back plastic is all you need . Another idea i have just tryed out is... for shiney decoys that need a new lick of paint... plasti-kaot do a mat grey paint and also do a matt varnish, i added the white wing bars with a white paint pen from a craft shop and their you have it new decoys
  7. Hi all back at home now. just thought i would pass an idea on see if any one whants to yous it? I have made a wounded crow decoy out of an old tyer inertube and a peice of thick ruber(5mm mud flap, lrover) .You draw and then cut the inertube in the shape of the wings .cuting some v's out of one side (trailing edge feathers) and with the thicker ruber cut out a siloet of a crow stick it to gether ,then drill a hole and place a fairly strong spring in to the hole which in turn is fastend to a peg.thir you have it . dont know if you can follow that but from my experiments so far it works well .If need be i could send a pic to show it working.. :( .Allso what about making your own floaters out of an old fishing rod i have made two that work well with foam flying decoys ! am i mad probly but just thought it could save money 8)
  8. Thanks every one .I was rooting through the inter net last night and came across www.plasti-kote.com they do a matt spray or a flock type coating but i think it might be a little to light a grey. Anyway i think i shall give the chap above a call see if he could do mine for me thanks agin
  9. Good job it was an air rifle and not a 50 cal   only joking :( I shot at a large bunch of pigeons landing in a tree missed the lot but the dog ran in and brought the remans of a sparow back.could not shout at the dog for laughing :(

  13. Hi every one could any one point me in the right direction for a dead pigon flaper? A few years ago i had one that was like a cradle you placed the pigen in it and then fasten its wings to arm's wich were held in place by elastic bands, wich in turn was fastend to a cord wich you pulled. It worked well but some how got lost in the house move a few years ago..cheers
  14.
