  1. Yes I did it a few years back with a Falcon raptor mate, but once it's been on ticket as a Fac it will be on ticket even if it's reduced back to 12 ft b,well that's what i believe.
  2. So you not a member of the knitting pattern and jam making club on here? Dear oh dear I thought you moved in the correct circles?
  3. No definitely you! His post has your name written all over it,even Stevie Wonder can see that, LMAO Anyway you haven't got time to be returning posts to me on here, you have to get ready for your WI meeting lol?
  4. I think he's referring to you Gordon R ?suck it up and move on.
  5. Yes not the best colour to find lol. I bought some Hull high pheasant 19g from my local shop £8.10 a box,a certain cartridge supplier on line have the same cart at £9.80 a box then with delivery would cost £113 a slab, sometimes pays to shop local lol. I bought a slab of Eley 18g subs from Bisley,£8 a box ,very good shells.
  6. If this dry hot spell continues expect some Heath fires around the Frensham straights area!
  7. Not far from me,Fresham pond is having problems with poisonous algae at the minute due to the hot weather.
  8. I'm using Hull high pheasant at the minute through the Hushpower,I've also used the Fiocchi and they seem a good shell just a tad noisy,if you was closer you could have had a box.
  9. ??opinions,discussion,debate,experiences make a forum! It's not just about your opinion !
  10. I never said I pick up every wad! As you say that would be impossible, however if your decoying over a pattern and most of my shooting is corvids over grass it's not impossible to pick MOST of the wads up at the end of the session. And if I only pick up 75/80% of the wads surely that's better than leaving 100% on the land!!
  11. TBH mate I think it comes down to respect, yes I use plastic wads but take the time to pick them up at the end of a decoying session. The farmer I shoot for ain't fussed if I use plastic or fibre but he allows me to shoot his land and the least I can do is clean up before I head home. I've always used the "leave nothing but your footprints" mentality.
  12. Your right there mate some things or opinions will never change?especially with some on here lol
  13. Why do you think stagboy is taking the moral high ground? He's simply putting his opinion across, his opinion might differ from yours, but it's his and he's entitled to express it,or am I missing something?
  14. Embrace the change, and accept the new challenge?
  15. I made some from flat bed sheets, you can get straw/harvest colour, stitched 12" of clearview netting on the top for a vision panel and sliced the sheet with a Stanley knife to allow the wind to blow through, much easier to pack than Hessian and much lighter if it gets wet. And it's a good cost effective method.
  16. Overpopulated JDog,a month ago hardly any corvid activity it's just exploded, especially the Jackdaws, but they are the best shooting imo,BB
  17. Next to pigeon shooting,Corvid shooting is the next best thing. All the shooters that reckon shooting corvids is a waste of a cartridge don't know what they are missing
  18. More effective than shooting PC,and the good thing is its active 24-7.just make sure the ladder does not extend to the sides of the trap! Otherwise they will clamber up the wire and escape. This happened to us yesterday ,80+ in the trap when I walked past at 05:30 and 5 in the trap an hour later lol,we've boarded the ends now,so should keep em contained lol.
  19. I use a random pattern of 15 crow decoys, then leave the shot birds where they fall,if birds start flaring away I pop out and make sure non are belly up.I don't bother with a call,if they are there in good numbers and willing to commit I don't think you need one. First couple of outings I struggled with the Hushpowers large barrel/mod but there cracking guns when you get use to them,BB
  20. Another 36 shot 27 picked with the .410 yesterday, that takes the bag to 340 shot over the last couple of weeks with the Hushpower. Ladder trap was put out last week and is doing very well so a combined total as I type this out is just over 600 birds, and they keep coming thick and fast lol,BB
  21. Is the gun a single shot or double?
  22. Idea pinched? I've been using springs, but they are difficult to source,so will get some tubing (brewers syphon tube)thanks for the tip,BB
